Down the Drain by @designerdougmNW-DHNZ5FYEJ
Mission Type: Narrative
Average Duration: 10 minutes
Amount of Combat: Medium/Low
Mission Summary:
Your companion; the cantankerous mage, has lost his most valued posession - his grimoire! Ask yourself: what is a wizard without his trusty grimoire? A bird without wings, that's what! A lion without fangs, a meatball without meat! Help your companion track down his treasured posession before it's too late.
Hello everyone! This is my first foundry project, but I thought I'd take the time to share it with the community. As the thread title indicates, this quest centers around the Cantankerous Mage. I'm planning to expand this project out into a campaign in the near future with additional quests to flesh out a back story for the companion.
This first quest is about 10 minutes long, and I plan to push them out in a serialized fashion every 1-2 weeks or so, with most of the quests being about that length. In the end I'm aiming for about an hour and a half worth of content total.
Of course I've made this post in hopes of receiving feedback, so any feedback is absolutely appreciated. I hope to find the time to check out other projects as well!
Known Issues:
- An issue where a masculine pronoun is used instead of a gender neutral one.
Comments
1.) At the end it says "Exit the Crooked Rose" and does not have an exit door.
2.) This is not 15-20 minutes. The average duration was 8 minutes when I accepted the quest. After I finished it went down to 7.

I played with my level 60 DC. I can see why people might be going through so quickly. Your NPC is the adventurer Mage and that is a pretty tough encounter. If the player also has a combat companion they are probably just walking through the fights. So you might be able to beef them up some without much worry.
The dialogue is really great and I like the idea behind the quest. I do know how hard it is to judge times for quests. My first quest I had to constantly add things to get to it qualify for a daily. And if you have mostly dialogue any repeat speed runners doing it for a daily will not read it, just hit the right response number.
You'll get faster as you get more experience and making larger quests won't seem so insane a prospect.
Play through notes:
-I liked all the activity in the tavern
-you may want to put a fire in the fireplace
-the Suspicious Woman says "cap burglar", did you mean "cat burglar" here?
-it seems odd at the end that I'm leaving the "Crooked Rose" wouldn't I be leaving the sewers?

Since these quests will be all about humor, there really isn't a lot of replay value, but the follow up quests will be a bit more substantial, this was made in a couple of hours.
It's not a typo - beyond that my lips are sealed!
Definitely! That was an issue due to me not realizing there was an exit field on the final zone transition, and is all fixed now.
