Basic Black Ice Gear:

Cowl: 1134 HP, 284 Crit, 118 Def, 133 Deflect, 133 Life Steal
Gloves: 284 ArP, 133 Crit, 118 Def, 133 Deflect, 284 Regen
Boots: 1134 HP, 284 Power, 118 Def, 133 Life Steal, 133 Movement
Armor (huh? not Robes?) : 826 HP, 441 Power, 618 Def, 207 Life Steal
Talisman: 295 HP, 74 Crit, 158 ArPen, 158 Regen
Orb (671-820 Damage): 1690 Power, 133 Crit, 284 Deflect, 133 Regen

Notes:
- Orb has same base damage as CN weapons, i.e., inferior to all of the MC/VT weapons. So I won't be giving up my Fomorian set.
- Lack of Regen and Recovery makes the PVP Skull artifact even more attractive, ironically (so much for PVP "not being required")

    keep in mind that those are the un-empowered stats for the weapon set

    if i recall correctly from the preview shard, their empowered stats are (damage-wise) equivalent to the dread legion set (top end damage of 827), making them superior to CN weapons in terms of base damage, with the addition of a separate slot for a black ice enchantment which adds a proc of 800 power (chance on ability cast)

    this would in theory make them on par with, or slightly better than current weapon sets, so it might be worth investigating

    I am not on preview at the moment but I believe you are showing the stats for the purified version. There is also a corrupted version with different stats that are more offensive oriented but still lacking the recovery. The Corrupted orb also has over 1800 power if I remember correctly...even with that I too will probably keep my fomorians.

    No, this is the basic gear, without any Black Ice empowerment at all. And no set bonus.

    Understand now...sry about that. If you take a look at the empowered gear you wont like their lack of recovery either.

    What does the tier 2 combat time remaining mean?
    Give us 4 or more power/item bar profiles so we can change powers and items with one click that are suited for the situation.

    For the enchantment? The enchantment disappears once the time runs out and you have to craft/obtain another one and slot it. The BI empowerment also runs out over combat time but it doesn't take a lot of BI to keep it refreshed. Even with a full set of BI gear.

    I'm making the corrupt orb and talisman as we speak, I like the set bonus better than the **** 'yet more recovery' ones for the cn weapons. High damage, high power. Yummy. And if the BI damage procs off multiple targets, and doesn't have too much of a crappy icd, then wow, those DD mobs won't know what hit them. Well until mod4 anyway, then I'll just forgo magic altogether, and have Baba Yaga slap them in the face with a wet fish.

    Have the purified armor, but will probably stick with HV, except for kessel's. Might use it for pvp too, if I ever get round to using my cw for domination.
    No idea what my toon is now.

    Its garbage dont bother. I made mine into a transmute.

    No the Corrupted Orb and Talisman are actually better than either the Dread Gear or Illyanbruen.

    Its the Fomorian Orb and Talisman that are better than the Corrupted, so if you have the Fomorian you won't want it... otherwise the Corrupted is better than the other options.

    Here is the Corrupted Orb and Talisman at Tier 3.

    Corrupted Black Ice Orb:
    Dmg: 677-827
    Power: +1772
    Critical Strike: +366
    Deflect: + 281

    Corrupted Black Ice Talisman
    Power: +203
    Recovery +203
    Lifesteal +156

    Consider this the Power Set. The Lifesteal Set is the Dread Legion Orb/Talisman, but its lower in power than the Corrupted.

    However the other two sets do not have to be recharged with Black Ice the way the Corrupted does.

    Corrupt weapons made and powered up. Liking it so far, paingiver heaven. Seems to proc like clockwork too, though not as often as I'd like.
    No idea what my toon is now.

    I swapped dread legion for this too. Power and crit bonus already offsets the loss on recovery and life steal. 2/2 bonus is somewhat meh but better than 450 recovery if you ask me

    Hm, I think the 2/2 bonus on the weapons is quite useless and definately worse than 450 recovery. I has an internal cooldown of 40s and then procs for 2500 damage on exactly 1 adjacent enemy - and adjacent means standing on your feet. So this is a whopping 60 dps... not quite worth it.

    Most certainly a downgrade from fomorian or fallen dragon sets and comparable to dread legion.

    It would be nice if the next expansion would contain a difficult instance with attractive loot - right now it's a pity that best in slot for armor and weapons are an old T2 set from release (or even T1 for some classes) and weapons sets from 1 or 2 expansions ago.

    That depends. I'm already past diminishing returns on recovery, so the bonus on all those other sets does very little for me except inflating my GS. Corrupt does the same damage as dread legion, a tiny bit less than the other sets, but the stats, for me, are more favorable on corrupt than any of the other sets mentioned.

    The 2/2 set bonus does 80-90k dmg during a full CN run!

    450 rec > 90k dmg...
