Mail Sent to Self Disappears

This has already happened twice this week: I send some unbound items to myself and the mail never arrives, but the items are gone from my inventory.

Before someone asks, I'm sure I hadn't misspelled anything on both cases, and no matter how I sort my mailbox, the mail I sent is nowhere to be seen.
