I need clarification on Blood Ruby.

Say I have a Lesser enchant. It needs 27~K Refinement points to get upgraded to Normal.

If I put the Blood Ruby in there, it goes over the limit.

Will the remaining points be wasted or will I have an additional 23K points on the next level?

    From my experience with enchanting process, if you place more points than are needed for the next rank, the extra will carry over into the next rank when you do rank it up.

    I have a related question as well. If I were to buy an unbound Lantern of Revelation artifact from the auction house for my friend, could I use my blood crystal on it before giving it to him? Or would that cause it to become bound?

    I can confirm that the points carry over on artifacts. I boosted my mine by 4 levels.

    I cannot say for sure, but what I can suggest is this: After purchasing (don't equip) and copy your character over to the preview server and try there first :3. Transfers can take up to 2 hours or so, but I think it has a disclaimer about that.

    It should bind to you. This is according patch notes from shortly after mod 2 launched which said leveling an artifact would bind it.

    Thanks guys. I haven't seen any refined on the AH so I didn't expect to be able to. Good call on preview server test though. I'll be sure to try it.
