I am trying to figure out how the Eldritch runestones work and could use some advice. When in a defense slot, are they meant to give X% to the owner of all the stats (base, runes and equipment) of the companion? Is this just for the summoned companions, or for all active companions?
I noticed that there were bugs reported on this functionality last year, but could not find any recent posts. My experiments so far have been fruitless, so I am wondering if I am misunderstanding their purpose or doing something wrong.
Thanks!

1) All stats.
2) Only the current summoned companion.
There are no bugs about this functionality that I know of.

2) Only the companion that is wearing it, while summoned. (Just clarification in case of misunderstanding.)
Unless you have some amazing stats on your companion this isn't likely to bring you a whole lot of joy. But try it, maybe you will get better results than I ever did.
(to me, the small number of points I got from it were worth less than the points I could add to the companion with a different Rune.)
Also- it will not affect the active bonus of the companion.

Thanks, that clarifies it for me. It would have been more exciting if the Eldritch runestone gave bonuses for an active, but not summoned companion. At the point where I am now, my summoned companion needs all the stats he can get to keep alive, so I am better off giving him a better runestone.
