Anyone heard if there will be a Icewind Dale Pack released along with the module 3?
By that i mean like there is a Knight of the Feywild Pack, Guardian of the North Pack, Hero of the North, and some of the smaller "starter" packs
So what im waiting to hear about, is what will be in it?
What type of mount and/or companion will it contain, what other things will it have (hopefully not the robe of useless items and the party poppers AGAIN)
Are we expecting something cool and great, or just another re-skinned wolf and horse
Im assuming it wont have a new race (like feywild had moon elf - if you can call that a new race)
I wasnt playing when the other modules and packs were released, so ive no idea if they always release a $60 pack with each module or before its release, or after its release or if theyll even bother making one, but im hoping there will be a pack
What do you guys want to see in it?
My knowledge of the colder climes of the Realms is very sparse (we always played around the heartlands and dales, not the sword coast and frozen north, so the only D&D cold-dwelling monster coming to mind for me is a Behir, and ive no idea if that even made it into 3E or 3.5E let alone 4E
Id really like to see a cold-weather gear outfit. Either as Fashion, or as transmutable gear
I fear it will contain re-skinned mephits/grue, wolves, goblins, etc, but hope to see something new
So what are your wishes, dreams, hopes, desires, or your fears and anxiety of what youd hate to see included in a Icewind Dale Pack?
I can pretty much promise you that there will be lol

Good question. I haven't read the Ice Wind Dale trilogy in over a decade,
but hopefully they'll take some inspiration from that.
I would like a pet rhemorraz. Will buy the pack for that. (Assuming he's purple
and has stats that can handle the new dungeons.) Guessing we'll get a
Winter Wolf, tho.
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

I have an embarrassing feeling that i meant a Rhemorraz when i said Behir... Clearly i shouldve thumbed through my monster manual before posting instead of relying on 20-30 year old memories

I think the devs kinda learned from the very early announcement of the Feywild pack, that they should wait till closer to launch to make new packs available for purchase - people were confused that they could buy the pack right away, but couldn't actually claim/use the items tied to it until weeks/months later...

yeah, that's about it. Still, any time they release a new pack to go with a module, it's a great addition. I love getting account-wide unlocks.

*Remember the Winter Wolf Mount and drools*
There has been no information about an Icewind Dale Pack released yet but I believe they remember that player feedback was quite clear on the desire to have one for Shadowmantle.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad to see you guys enjoyed our previous packs!

I hope the next pack is more like the Knight of the Feywild pack than the Ranger Booster Pack. Though would be nice if it was available in the zen store as well.
I've bought every pack ever released I'm sure this one will be no exception. I do strongly prefer the $60 packs with mount and pet over the smaller Ranger pack please.
It tromps along, and you sit in a basket or something that it's wearing as a backpack.

An armored polar bear or dire arctic wolf mount would be cool. Something like a black ice rimefire golem as a tank companion would be awesome. As for a fashion set, some sort of arctic gear, (like a long fur-lined coat), would be great.

For the fashion set, the head gear needs to be a toque. Anything less will be a serious disappointment. :-p
With or without a pop-pom?

As there is no new class coming (that we know of), I don't think a pack similar to the Mod 2 pack is likely, but hey, ya never know.

I'm Canadian. Only the finest pom-poms will do.
And only the finest pom-poms from the tails of snow dragons will do.
