When will this vote kicking farce be dealth with?

Thanks to vote kicking I can no longer run any dungeons in this game. The only dungeon I have done in the last 3 months is Fardelver Crypt (because its less than 10 minutes so not such a big deal if I get kcicked), and just now someone started spamming vote kick with the boss at 30% making it impossible for me to attack and I ended up dead.

I have taken screenshots and sent them to support before, but it doesn't say who initiated the vote kick so what use is that? Just a complete waste of my time sending in pics and contacting support. Last time after I reported an offender, four days I ended up in the dungeon with this person again so I just quit, so obviously even with screenshots nothing was done.

This is the fourth time this has happened in FC, and its not even me they are trying to kick, although I was probably next since upon inspection there are 3 of the same guild players - non-english language as well judging by the help call Ajuda. This is so people can get the loot, and is pathetic since its hardly worth anythying anyway.

I left the dungeon after because I do not wish to play with such vile people. There was no reason given to kick, and no reason to either - we had got to the end quick with no deaths and this person had reasonable damage dealt, so it was just greed.

I have read numerous threads about vote kicking yet nothing is EVER done. No changes on the test server either.

Please do not say just run with a guild because I am a GF and can't get in experienced groups who want just CW's/GWFs, plus at 6am UTC there were only about 3 guild players online. I shouldn't have to be forced of going to all the effort of trying to find a group for such an easy dungeon run.

This exploit should be fixed. End of.

agreed. I will only ever run guild runs, and sadly that MIGHT only happen once every other week at that. A hard fix should be worked on.

Join a guild.

Yes I've read your ENTIRE post and I still say join a guild. Only 3 people online? Change guilds then. They won't accept their own guildmate into a run? Then you either have 8.3k GS or something is up. Guilds do accept GFs if you are decently geared. Join a guild with lots of people online during your timeslot. Seem like either you or your current guild is terrible which is why you are having this problem.

I have a 19.9k GS and suggest you go read the GF class forum where you will find nearly every GF complaining about not being able to to run in high end groups, and now they are nerfing the KC set which will make matters even worse.

I have joined the legit channel so hopefully won't come across these scum again, but even then your group can be high jacked if someone has to leave.

Nevermind though I have just started a new CW, which of course as soon as I am all geared up it will be nerfed.

There is no solution that will end the plague of greed kickers, if you think a guild is too much effort then 'simply' make some friends who play at the same time that you tend to play and run instances with them. Keep reporting cases of greed kicking in the mean time and run the enigma of the 'perfect anti greed kick system' through your mind. (I have yet to think of a solution myself.)

If you give the right information then they can figure out who initiated the vote kick on their own. Time, date and dungeon (obvious or not, make it easy on them) and they can go data diving in the right area.

Sadly.... it happens in every game where kicking is plausible.

Just because they do not say anything does not mean they are trying to find a way to ease the abuse of the kick feature. (It will never be completely abolished so long as people are, as you have pointed out, greedy.) I have mentioned that this is a common problem in any MMO that allows you to vote kick from instances... Not one of those games came out with a solution instantly.

You are right, but then if you feel guilds are an effort then perhaps you are playing the wrong type of game in the first place.

Shameless plug ahead ...

The guild I'm in right now is unlike any I've ever been in. Granted, it's getting a little quiet now since, well, most have been playing this game a long time, but there's still new peeps coming in. What sets this guild apart from others? When someone wants to do a run, it's first come first serve. Meaning, someone puts a request for a dg in guild chat, and the first ones to reply get in, that's it. That's how it's supposed to be. A sure fire way to get kicked is forming a clique and only run dungeons with your friends. If you want that, form your own guild. The name is Relentless if you're interested.

There is no guild history like EVE's corp history. I say, hop til you drop, or, at least, until you find a guild that suits you.

Gonna shut this down before it goes to hell in a handbasket with a few parting words:

Cryptic can't do anything about human nature. Sorry if that's not something people want to hear, but it's true. People who want to vote kick will abuse the feature any way they can. The only way to prevent abuse is to eliminate the feature entirely....but then again, it's a case of "give the people what they want, and they still won't be happy with it".

Being a rear end hat, unfortunately, is not a bannable offense. Doesn't make it right, but it doesn't make it actionable on Cryptic's part either. There are just some things no one can fix--even with duct tape.
