I started 15 minutes into the Dungeon Delve. I entered, full party. 5 seconds later I was alone as they all bailed. I watched time and again as people left. One actually responded when I asked why people kept leaving.

Because the dungeon wasn't at the last boss.

That's right. Moochers, the lot of them. I don't care if it's added to the other dungeons or not but there should be a safety of some type. Like a 1 hour cooldown timer if you leave before 10 minutes pass or some such.

The dungeon queues *used to* not permit others to enter an instance once the group got passed the first boss - they added the ability to be placed into a dungeon anytime after that, as a way to allow those that got further, but then lost someone, to be able to fill the spot. The unfortunate truth is that people will look for the path of least resistance, when it comes to getting rewards. Perhaps they need to consider a leaver penalty for PvE dungeon queues, or at the very least, a cooldown of a few minutes before you can requeue for the same dungeon, if you left before it was completed.

Another reason is that when you leave CN you get dumped in Protectors enclave so people use it as a free teleport to town lol

yeah I don/t remember exactly how it worked in WoW but I thnk once you entered a dungeon you were locked to it for 24 hours or something. So you could enter other instances but you would lock to those too. So if you went back in you would be at the same point as you were before. I don't do a lot of groups at all for these and other reasons that have been mentioned in the forums. Being a ftp game I don't think they are really motivated to address these issues or at least it doesn't seem like they are

I find if you really want to enjoy this game, join an established solid guild with active players and support. Then on occasion when you do try to que for pug and it washed out, your not so disgruntled knowing your guild might be running one later. If your anti-social to guilds and just prefer to be the lone adventurer, then you will have to take the good with the bad.

So is searching for an abandoned CN instance a thing now?

In the last two months we got lucky exactly one time with a full party and started right in front of Draco. Can't imagine hopping through the queue is really worth it.

Has been a thing since mod 2 allowed you to join at any point. For the longest while it was just HR's queueing to solo draco, then the dragon bugs allowed any team to clear CN by bugging draco and drove the price of CN gear way way down. it's slowly crawling back up though, at least for certain classes, so I can see it becoming a thing again soon.

    Ducky...

As for finding a guild. 9 times out of 10 any guild I have joined has died out as players lose interest. I've gone the established route as well and only once was it a lively place. The rest were silent during all but a small span of hours of the day and not everyday. More depressing than going solo.

That's been fixed, as far as I know. I know what they're looking for, but it can't be detailed here.

Well, try to find a good guild... but for that you need to be skilled and have some gear, I've been in a lot of guilds, I've found the one I think it's the best on the server and now I can run more than 10 fast CNs a day if I want. I won't say the name of my guild but if you are looking for good guilds, here are some I've run CNs with:

Misfit, Necromancy, Protectors of Rabbits, Meet your Maker, Essence of Agression.

But if you are not CW,GWF or DC, I would give up on farming stuff, this game is not fair for some classes... And... yes, lots of players are stopping playing and more will stop when new mmos launch, nobody likes games where bugs are not fixxed and the balance(in pve) is horrible.

This game doesn't require a guild. It requires 4 reliable friends. Form a clique not a guild. Other games require a guild so you invest in them, but everyone knows group content in any game is dominated by cliques. I was in a server leading guild for 10 years in Everquest, and from outside of it you might think we were all the same, but from inside everyone knew there were power groups that were extremely loyal to each other. This game has the emergent property that the clique doesn't even have a reason to associate with a guild, so don't even think in terms of guilds. Just think in terms of friends list. Look for repeat invites until it is clear that some people are gelling, start skyping, and then run away with it.

So far I've only joined dungeons through queue and it usually has taken hour to two to get in. I don't really see the need to penalize me if I'm middle of instance, have no room in inventory or don't have time anymore to do the run and decide not to accept.
Better way would be to if you join the actual dungeon and not the queue. Then again is that fair to people that need to leave because real life situation?
Depends on a penalty I think. 10-15min wouldn't be and issue.

Well, if you don't have time to do a run and you're already in the instance, then it seems logical that a cooldown on being able to requeue of, say, 30 mins or so, wouldn't be an issue. You can sell stuff by bringing up the Wondrous Bazaar, clicking the buyback tab, then dragging items you want to sell to the 'sell' box, so there's no need to leave for that. If you haven't actually zoned into the instance yet, then the leaver penalty wouldn't apply - you'd have to actually zone in and then leave, before the dungeon was completed.

In the interest of "science", I tried today to join during DD to see if you can open the chest. I ended up at the end a lot of times, but the DD chest was not unlocked.

There were a couple times where it put me before Draco, but obviously he's not really puggable.

Frequently in channels you'll see "LF1m <CN/VT/whatever> last boss"
The people who read that and want to join/help will queue and get randomly set to some instance of the said dungeon and if it's not the expected party they will leave and try again. The problem here is with the queue system, not with the players.

MC and VT has become a problem. I can never get to play it through the queue because of the MC 2/3 and VT 1/2 farming. The queue now will only land you into an instance where the 2nd boss of MC or 1st boss of VT have been killed and everyone has left. It has become pointless to queue for MC or VT.

Way off topic here, but when do you think Wizards will implement the Spelljammer system in order to connect Neverwinter and future mmo worlds? That would be *epic* DnD - porting characters from one mmo to another... Or maybe as a quest, like the Ravenloft Foundry quests... Any ideas/dreams out there not related to mathemechanics?
