Old Shandarar

Have three out of six chars that have made it to new shandrar without any problems but for some reason my GF simply cannot get through the falls . I have released the rangers, found all the artifacts, and killed the goon before the falls . Help me please before I loose my mind what the heck am I missing here , have searched every single inch of that instance at least 10 times to no avail .

    Find the elves , gather the 3 artifacts during which you have to kill a certain amount of redcaps , kill the big ogre , walk down the hill , talk to the elf on the unicorn and a passage opens up behind the waterfall , walk through there and keep following the path.

    If you disconnected during any stage in Old Sharandar, you need to exit the instance and cancel + retake the quest

    Yeah, same thing happened to me. The elf near the falls just wouldn't talk to me, do what the guy above said, from your journal, abandon the quest, exit, come back, redo.
    No idea what my toon is now.

    Thanks to all , exactly what I did yesterday to no avail,removed the quest and the items from inventory , went back to PE got the quest again had at it again . Good to know that there is a way so I will give it a go again (15th time) thanks very much for the responses all of you , very kind .

    Have tried this again a few more times without any luck, just simply want to get to Shandarar but cannot because of this glitch in this silly quest . So with that said I have submitted tickets with no response and am guessing that there is no way because of the amount of players on to contact what used to be called in NW or NWN 2 a DM ? Looking for some other idea's to simply make it pass this dang glitch so that I may finally get to the daillies in Shandarar .
