There have been long standing flaws with this skill. As the skill has recently been getting attention for one of these flaws on the preview server, I sincerely hope the remaining flaws in this skill's mechanics could be addressed at the same time that it is being fixed. The trickster rogue skill Path of The Blade is not working as intended.
1) It does not activate weapon enchants.
2) If the feat Overrun Crit is activated, whenever one hits with Path of The Blade, the temporary Overrun Crit buff will be removed when it should not (unless it hits with a non-critical hit).
These are issues that still persist despite the fact that Path of The Blade is getting reworked on the preview server. A third issue would be the skill cannot crit itself, but this was fixed with the last preview server patches.
However, now these issues exist alongside with the first two which still have not been addressed with the modified version on the preview server.
3) The modified version of the skill does crit, but can not activate Overrun Crit when it hits with a critical hit.
Also, since the skill has the potential to hit critical hits on the preview server now, I assume it is affected by vorpal enchantments. This gives an advantage to anyone who uses the skill with a vorpal enchantment over anyone who would use the skill with a weapon damage based enchantment, since weapon damage enchantments are not being activated on the live or preview server by Path of The Blade.
I was glad to see that this skill was getting fixed up for the flaw that it could not crit, but these are still equally important basic skill mechanics that are being broken and still not being addressed.
Thanks for reading. Hope something can be done.
Best wishes,
Godlysoul
EDIT: Wasn't sure if this belongs in preview or live server bugs (seeing as it consists of both) so it is posted in both sections if moderation is needed.
