Back in the day, I use to be known as Lazav, the wizard or better known as Teysa, Beholders 2nd best cleric..
Back when the servers were divided.
For those of you who remember. Hi. Long time no speak.
I was here since open beta. Near the beginning I realized I loved PvP. I actually use to only use PvP to make money. I'd buy pots with glory and sell them for gold, then buy potions with gold and sell them for diamonds.
Then they took that away but I continued on. I would still find a way to make my diamonds via PvP because it was the sole reason I was on this game. I loved everything about PvP from the community to the competitiveness. It was all so amazing to me.
I had the luxury to be in the top PvP guild for my server The Silent Blade and was even more honored to be able to participate in the cross server PvP tournaments on on the preview server which were held by the top Dragon server guild, Lemonade Stand. My guild was able to proudly display their PvP skills with full gear and managed to take down anyone who opposed us. Sadly we lost to the reigning champions, LS (Lemonade Stand) though we were proud, a little PvP guild from Beholder to place second on the preview server tournament. I like to think that day we showed Beholder had a lot more to it than people had previously thought. We definitely had made a name for ourselves across the servers.
Then, sadly. more patches came along and I was eventually forced to do dungeons to make the diamonds I needed to continue to get gear. To get gear, the kind of gear I was able to use on the preview server. Luckily I was very skilled with a CW and DC so it was no problem for me. I continued to work hard and strive. It did pay off in the end.
Then the server merge came. Everything I knew before changed. There were so many clerics, so many wizards who not only had better gear than I but definitely had mastered the class in a way I always dreamed I could. I continued to dungeon, continued to PvP. I kept doing what I loved and what I had to so that I could get that gear I always wanted. To be up there with the best in PvP again.
A few more patches later, a few more months later. I decided it was time to change. I scraped together the diamonds I could and I made a new account. Creating the only class I had been avoiding for so long. Keep in mind at this point I had, had every class at 60 for a long time, but had neglected the rogue because I felt they were easy and I preferred the challenge of being a wizard or a cleric. But times were changing and I had to change with them if I was going to stay in the top. Or at least be able to hold my own. I had always been a fan of INT rogues perma stealth. As I played with the rogue, it was my first rogue I built. I got him the gear required. Gave him a nice paint job. Some fancy daggers. No flashy enchantments and I enjoyed my time with him. Then I decided the rogue was so versatile. Why not do more? Spoiler alert, I currently have 6 rogues.. Hehe. Finally setting my sights on something an old rogue I had also admired came up with. A deflect rogue. He later adapted his build to also have regen seeing as that was the thing. So it was decided. I was making my final rogue. A deflect, regen, extended stealth pain in the tush rogue. I managed to get some more diamonds and make an entire new account for this guy. An account for this one rogue, my last rogue. I leveled him to 60 as fast as I could, this being my 12th or 13th character leveling to 60 via PvP. I did my thing and in a couple of days he was ready to start gearing up. I did my typical GG grind to get the GG gear. This was I think my 7th time getting the GG gear for a rogue. (One time I had to grind for a friend). I got my fancy gear and started dungeoning with my wizard and cleric on my old account to get the diamonds I needed to equip this guy. I was dedicated. This was it. He was going to be my ticket to the top. Or at least my foot in the door. I got him a nice paint job, a fancy mount, and my first ever greater enchantment. I was really happy with all I had accomplished. I was almost ready.
Then a new patch came out. Artifacts would be added, a new area with new boons to get (I wasn't even done grinding my old boons yet.. Heh) Just a lot more grind. I wasn't worried though. I was dedicated to this little halfling and I had come too far to give up now. So I trekked on. I continued the grind in Sharandar and the new grind for the new area. Though all this I was doing. What was it for? One day I thought to myself "All this work for what?.. PvP? PvP hasn't actually been touched since release." (Nerfs aside) and I made the ultimate decision to call it quits. Hang up my daggers, put the stealth life behind me and move on.
Then not to long ago I checked my email and noticed there were PvP changes coming. This excited me greatly. The nostalgia built up to an immense amount and I had to come back. Though my old guild had died (The Silent Blade) And none of my friends I had left really remembered me (Aside from exodus) I was more than happy to be back.
So I guess after this big wall of text and my long story. I'm here to say I'm back. Even though I may not have the best gear or know any of these new tactics. I'm here for the long haul and can't wait to see all the new changes.
Hi, I'm ÆXX@misterexxxx feel free to leave me a message or send me a tell while in game and I look forward to fighting the best of the best.
