Professions - Quite annoying

I have some lvl 60 characters, with around 7 profession slots each and the time it takes to just click everything is getting extremely tedious. I will not suggest a queue profession task (although it could be really useful, and bots already supply that for some ppl) but it will be to start 3 tasks at a time, just to reduce clickings.
Each task can only be done 3 at a time, so you can implement something that let people choose 3 slots and 1 task and start that task on the 3 slots, reducing clicks almost 1/3 and without so much scrolling through the task list.
Or a refresh button, that collects reward and starts the same task again, or a favourite task list, or a personal filter of task of some sort.

I'm with Iuliandrei in support of that last idea. 'Collect and Repeat' would be a simple change that would not always apply. \

Example for when it wouldn't- I wouldn't want to start a 6 hour task, knowing that I am leaving home in five hours. I would instead do a four hour task and then start something else so it could run while I'm away.

But it would still be really nice to have that option for all the times it would apply.

I like that, collect and repeat would be a great addition.
I don't like the profession system in general, I'd prefer much more to do the things myself, instead of clicking and have others do it, but since that's the way the devs decided, they could make it a bit less tedious.

i was considering a similar request, always good to know others think alike
Im not such a fan of the "Refresh" button idea, though i dont oppose it

I'd prefer a "favourite" task list, doesnt have to be huge, say store your 5 or 6 favourites, and these would appear immediately underneath the Rare Task list
Shouldnt need saying, but id want that list character specific, not account
(id also like a favourite list for my favourite foundry missions - subscribing means i often end up cluttering my preferred choices with ones i have no intention of doing, just because they share an author)

Yeah 'bookmarking' tasks and 'hide this task' would be nice too. In leadership, there are two specials and five maybe six regulars I will ever do. No need to show me any of the others because I will have had to have lost my mind to want to do them. XD

The thing that bugs me is how slow they are to level compared to the game.

There's no way any of the hundreds of items you can make from the professions would ever be useful to anybody while leveling unless they play for like 10 minutes a day. Even then they're likely to outlevel it.

So they're all just about getting to max level for those 1 or 2 things worthwhile, which is a shame because it would be nice to be able to level different professions and actually use the stuff while leveling.

I like the bookmarking and "refresh task" ideas. There's so many tasks and in the gateway if, for example, you want to start level 2 gathering task you have to click through a lot of pages to find that task. On my tablet I can't even get there, gateway "disconnects" before I'm even through half the pages, but that's another bug altogether.

I also would like if the rare tasks were more balanced, sometimes you have five rare tasks and the highest level one is level 7 (the profession itself is max level).

A 'claim all' button would be great as would be able to select a task and click 'start in all available slots' button. Available being subject to the same restrictions as if you'd started the tasks manually.

I've suggested this. Thanks for the great ideas to help improve the Professions system!

We need to take baby steps:

    1. Add a 'collect all' button.

    2. Add a 'repeat last' option to each individual slot.

It is very unlikely that we will see any option that allows for nearly automated use of the Gateway, so all tasks should be considered as requiring a user's direct input...

A small additional request if I may.
Using the Asset scroll in the game, when choosing assets to do a task,
is a pain when you have a lot of People assets.
Have to scroll through the list to find the one you want.

Whereas, in the Gateway, you get a whole page,
with all your people assets on it.
I find it is much quicker and easier to use,
    than having to scroll search.

Therefore my request is, can we have the Gateway type page in game,
instead of the scroll set up, please.
Its not a big deal I know, but its one of those little things that helps.

    Thankyou :)

I have two profession wishes. Both are tab related.

I would absolutely love seeing the profession tab account bound rather than character. Mailing workers and tools between different characters takes lots of time whenever I do professions. With a single profession tab freely accessible from every character I play, I'll never mail another Adventurer ever again!

Please let both workers and tools stack! I don't need a individual icon for every single footman I own. One icon with a little number showing quantity frees up lots of space.

    Thanks for listening.

    Cheers!

This is quite brilliant, easy to implement (i ignorantly assume) and gets rid of the needless scrolling and also fixes the problem kirkcaldy called out.

Good to hear this from other players as well. I've been suggesting this for months.

One thing you can do currently is if in the browser version of the gate way select your first task then hit your back button it will fill in the needed slots then you select any additional optional slots. You can do this for the other 2 of 3 then you just select the first of the next group you want. I find this does speed up my ability to do professions. The only problem I have seen is if I do not refine the astral diamonds on the website and then login some times they disappear. Once refined they seem to stay. If I give it a long time (10 minutes to an hour) between finishing the task and then logining in with the arc client then they are there.

Yes, that would be good.!

I could never figure, why its one worker to one slot.

This would be a huge help! I had to blast my weaponsmithing up to 15 because I had filled up all of my asset slots from weaponsmithing packs. I needed to train all those weaponsmiths to master level solely to free up space. I still have to do the same now for artificing.
