played a lot but never realy was aware of one side after death you spawn on the campfire and instantly getting the bonus buf from it, but the other side it`s needed to take a few steps back.
if it realy is symmetrical build it`s a disadvantage on that side.

don`t know names of maps but it`s the one with the 2 bridges.

I *think* the map to which you refer is the Rivenscar Ruins map.
Incidentally, the buff you get when you quickly run into the campfire after dying is the "Mending Wounds" one.. *NOT* the +1 to primary and secondary stats. THAT buff (I forget it's name) takes about 30 seconds at the campfire to kick in...

both maps are symmetrical. just press M next time you're in a pvp match and you shall see.

They are indeed symmetrical in appearance, but player spawn positions do seem a-symmetric in Rivenscar.

ow is that the mending wounds one :D (aarg same pictures fooled me 9 months:D)
    hahaha.
edit:not fooled, at least the mending wounds picture disapears fast and then the +1 buf picture shows after leaving the spawnpoint.
after just barely touching the circle a second.
it also gets added to ability score.

maybe this part should get to bug section if it`s not meant to be.

edit: not been fooled, getting the +1 from just running over invoke spot. 15 min buf.
tested only in pe, still need to do in pvp.
edit again, tested in pvp. i get the mending wounds thing from camp, but it turns into the +1 buf somehow.
    don`t understand yet :)
or do the nodes give that buf too ?
    confused ;p

Interesting. It was Mending Wounds the last time I tested (PE is always different)..but if you come into PvP directly from PE you will have the +1 for a little while until it runs out or you die.
I shall test again after I wake up.. been 24h.. :)

yes sorry, i changed the text a little later because i was typing so much things which weren`t realy helpfull, so made a different version of it.
it realy works, just touching a campfire, tested in pe and pvp.
been playing like that forever :D
that`s why i do look down a little on people who don`t grab the buf ;p
all the trouble for gearing and letting such a great thing lay behind.
    on one side then.

Hotenow Domination is not perfectly symmetrical. One one side of the map, it is possible to jump from the bottom level to the area just below the spawn. Basically, you can jump on a triangular piece of rock on the wall, them jump on a long horizontal piece of rock, and finally jump to the area just below the gate. I've used this several times as a shortcut to the enemy's home point, if the triangular rock is on their side. I don't have any video capture software, nor is my rig good enough to support one without lagging, but I can show the trick to anyone who can fix it, either by making the shortcut available to both sides or by removing the shortcut entirely.

a report was made last month and handed to the CMs who forwarded it to the devs. arontimes and a few others in the community popped into pvp and took screenshots and i demo_recorded the match with the examples in hotenow domination.

but right now, they are focusing on finalizing mod 3. so unfortunately you'll just have to be patient.

ok thanks, but mod 3 contains leaderboards, so guess fair pvp matches will be same priority. (ok maybe a tiny bit less, but it`s close)
chance is the complaints get bigger about it when people are playing for spots on it.
seems little that 0.5 -1sec that it takes to get the camp buf, but if all partymembers die 5 times on avarage in a match, it`s 25 x 0.5-1 sec disadvantage.
so somewhere between 12 and 25 seconds loss partywide.
same result of watching with 5 players how 5 others stand on a node capping it. 3 to 6 times.
something like that, never counted how long it exactly takes to cap with 5 players on it.
