When I thought of making this thread I was indeed in a bit of rage. Now I'm just sleepy and a bit sad. Sad that I can't take much more of this game because of ONE thing.

GWF. I would pay money to hear from a developer what the logic is behind giving GWF's GF powers, I really would.

Sure the GWF hit too hard, can take too much damage and can kite away from danger like a cheetah on crack.
I can endure all this because this alone is not what makes me upset, this will not make them win over me.
But having AT WILL SPRINT and RANGED PRONE ?! The prone move comes so **** fast that there is no way to avoid it on purpose. And even if you do avoid it, that will drain your stamina that you will need to dodge everything else.
I could actually live with this annoying and stupid move as well, believe it or not.
But an at will sprint move.. ONE day after the patch came and they got these moves I was 100% sure that it would be patched away within a week at the most. Now here we are months later and a lot of patches later, and they still have it?

Please for the love of all that is sacred, why was it put in the game?

Ruins PvP so hard for everyone but GWF's. If there was just one or two trolls every now and then, fine, shake it off.
But about 60% of all games I queue into has a premade of 2 GWF + whatever else they feel they can troll you with.

People will always cheat and exploit to get ahead, ALWAYS. This time the developers gave them the tools to do so, and I have no clue why.

Everyone but a GWF or a friend of a GWF would say that they are not balanced. Hell even a lot of GWF's can admit it.

Hate to break it to you but good players can dodge frontline surge. Sprint has also been a part of the game since closed beta.

Without going going into detail let's just point out Dungeons and Dragons is indeed a game outside of Neverwinter.

In that game there is no such thing as a Guardian Fighter or Great Weapon Fighter class. Those are both themed builds within the players handbook.

D&D has only a Fighter. There is no rule that people using two handed swords can't use the same powers as those who specialist in shields unless those powers specify that they require a specific weapon or armor piece.

The limitations exist only within Neverwinter so that the game is able to be balanced. Does this mean that it is currently balanced in it's current state? No in fact Pin said class balance is something the developers are focussing on right now.

But the angle that one class is different from another is completely false. Why do GWF's have access to Guardian Fighter powers? Because they are supposed to.

hmmm, hypothetically speaking, without thinking too much ... it would be nice to increase the damage of gwf but at the same time make the animations of all powers with User sword slower and even bars charge in some cases. (being faster with the unstoppable;. including encounters).

I read many people saying the destroyer generates less determination that the sentinel ... if all gwf received determination to give damage, much less by receiving damage, maybe ...

I say this because the current gwf has all the positives for pvp (tank / damage / speed). the general notion of trying to balance the class always cuts the damage, which does not directly solve the problem of pvp, but destroys the class for pve.

if we cut the legs of gwf ... would be easier to restructure the class internally.

Okay, I cleaned up the thread of the various rule violations but as others mentioned there are already threads which discuss the balance of the GWF.

Please continue such a discussion in an existing thread.
