Gauntlgrym from the perspective of a newb.... what the heck?

This is mostly feedback for the developers from someone pretty new to the game.

I have come back to Neverwinter after playing beta and getting and my first two characters to 60, so I've seen the leveling process but haven't played much end game.

Now on my new guardian fighter I have participated in Gauntlgrym twice and from my perspective this is a total and utter failure of a zone. The initial PVE section is dull. Drilling down through high hitpoint mobs for a chance for them to drop an item... in order to help the next stages PVP.... okay, fine. I am setting the stage for PVP, which should be awesome, right?

WRONG! After dinking around in the dull PVE for thirty minutes, I can't even get into PVP! I queue the second that the button pops up, and I can't get in. This has happened twice now. Sure, maybe I can try doing this day after day, but what's the motivation here? Chances very well could be that I never get into the PVP. I know that people have tricks to get into PVP, like switching factions or being in a group. But then other people tell me you have a better chance getting in by going solo.

Now, from my perspective this is just wrong. Everyone who wants to should get into the PVP. Period. Perhaps the faction imbalances are playing into this, but if that is the case, then the faction system is broken. If people can't play PVP and ultimately just stop doing Gauntlgrym altogether, that tells me the solution is just to randomize factions to equal numbers every time and just do away with this guild faction concept.

Thanks for allowing the rant. I know that I won't bother with Gauntlgrym until it is fixed. I am having lots of fun in dominion, however. Thanks for the changes on that. Getting destroyed by high geared players is why I stopped playing this game last May.

Yeah, I don't care so much about the dungeons. I just want to get into PVP for the sake of doing large scale PVP.

I hear you on that Luskan thing. Sure if I was with Luskan maybe the problem would go away. That in itself is incredibly stupid, a really bad design decision. It is forcing people away from the game. Because what if someone didn't want to change guilds, or pay the really high switch over fee?

Anyway...I am fine with changing guilds. Any luskan guilds recruiting? I am interested in PVP, am a somewhat experienced PVP guardian fighter w/ gear score of 11.5, please drop me a pm. I can contribute nicely to getting our butts kicked in Gauntlgrym.

Personally GG is boring as heck, it should be half the time and stop limiting players, one event, one share, let players decide to do whatever they want. Again GG is one of the most boring PVE events Ive ever seen in any game! you can actually ignore it all now if you want, since GG armour will become meaningless soon, you can do it to trade in for glory, but you cant get seals from it, so again I cant imagine why it wont be more or a ghost town then it is.

In terms of the PVP, its not as grand as you think , its time limited, people just ride around to cap, cap , cap then cap some more, its not a huge scrum of players attacking each other, since there isn't any benefit to it, Del side just has it more together, spreading its players out better and capping faster and more, thus winning the event.

You get way more action in just the domination matches honestly.
