I've been playing TRs since beta and I know we are already focused on fighting bosses, but I think we can get our place in dungeon parties back for sure if devs make us "more" specialists in that.
New paragon paths like assassain or daggermaster that focused on fighting enemies with tons of hp. Skills, powers, etc.
Just my opinion and I know it would be more difficult to do than to say, but....What do you think?
We actually WERE like that before. But PVP Q.Q came, and then the nerf bats followed. So long as there are flowing tears from PVP, the devs will cater to em.
Btw they all argument that we are a single target class and thus we don't have a good DPS table because of lack of good AOE, when we start complaining about low demand for TRs in PvE. But when it comes to PvP they all cry for a nerf of all our good single target powers -.-
Nerf ITC and we will get stomped by a flurry of AoE attacks while those pricks CWs stand behind with their ranged attacks. ITC also helps to avoid some annoying AoEs while DPSing a boss and maintaining debuffs on it. Nerf our SE and we will lose the best PvP single target power (and sometimes the only power that is able to shut the hell up those unkillable GWFs), not to mention some people like to dump it on a single target for temporarily crit chance/crit severity bonus. LOL I am sure they would start crying about Bloodbath after SE nerf though.
I've already seen a ton of complains about Duelist Flurry I wouldn't be surpised about it getting a nerf in the following updates.
They should've reworked our stealth mechanics long time ago instead of constant nerfing. Or separate PvE from PvP as was suggested countless times before.
I must admit the balance of PvE makes me hate other classes atm >.>
Nice idea, but I doubt it gonna happen. Would cause too much QQ from 40K HP GWFs/GFs suddenly feeling little bit more squishy.
Maybe, maybe it could be done in a form of buffing duelist's flurry getting damage buff +5% to base damage to the target for every 5 seconds of TR being stationary (capped at +25% for example). Buff immediately lost when TR moves/changes target. So it would be nearly impossible to get the buff in PvP, but possible to get it while fighting a boss. +25% base damage -> so ciritical severity/lurker's assault brings the bonus even higher. Such TR would be elite/boss slayer, but would have to sacrifcie mobility/find a way to minimize impact of AoE either by smart ITC use or cooperating DC outhealing AoE damage. And a little bit of gambling: should I continue dpsing the boss and risk being eaten by AoE or I should I play safe and dodge but be forced to build buff from scratch. Since the buff would be built in a prolonged period, it would not boost damage on weaker targets.
