Log my lowby lvl 20 hr and q for pvp immediately in the afternoon (EST). Somehow it was getting less kills and more deaths but also more wins. Is starting to live up to its name, "Panzerjaeger" ; was able to kill 3 or 4 gwfs 1v1 across a span of about 5 matches through a combination of roots, dodges, and splitshot. Split shot btw does not seem as OP as it was prepatch. Prepatch I could stand my HR off node and just spam splitshot until I would get the moneyshot: 5x kill. Then just walk on the node. Today I had to move a lot more and things other than gwfs were harder to kill. GWFs are now pretty easy to kill in low level pvp.
Won enough matches to get from level 21 to level 24, and had to log. Logged on again at night, same HR, and lost a bunch in a row. I "think" the elo is working because the afternnon games (all wins) were progressively more difficult which seemed to put me at the top of some kind of curve. The matches tonight started almost impossible to progressively easier. Played enough matches to go from level 24 to level 26. Q times were normal.
Logged in my level 60 gwf. Wow what a wakeup call. This toon, pre patch, would rush two and kill kill kill, then meet the enemy near their spawn point, push them back and work on their node. Tonight it died a lot until I adjusted tactics a bit and realized that gwfs are still pretty much op. Both earlier in the day on my low level hr and tonight on my level 60 gwf it really seemed that whichever team ad the most TANKS in general, won.
There were less leavers overall.
I haven't even tried tenacity gear yet. I imagine I am going to be doing a bit better than normal with it. Two things are for sure so far: the matches themselves are much more exciting and actually require much more coordination and strategy; the scores are consistently closer. But also, q times for level 60 are looooong. Even after the emergency patch.
There is no way I am pugging as much as I usually do at level 60. The system seems to be forcing pugs out by pure que waits. I'll be on my guild premade or not at all until the que time improves.
Based on preview/patch notes I've already concluded that I would never PvP in this game again. Although to be fair I was pretty much at that point before the patch as well.
yep! people begged for "leaver penalties". many people pointed out that would unfairly punish people who got disconnected or the game crashed thru no fault of their own.. then guess what, it happened! :rolleyes:
We're working to improve queue times right now and should have a solution out soon.
This response does not address the initial post of this thread. He was kicked from a PvP match due to a game bug, and was banned from all queues for 30 minutes.
What do you think they can do about it?
There is nothing they can do. If they make it so you don't get a leaver penalty from a client crash, people will simply ALT-F4 the client, or just pull the plug on their pc.. which looks exactly the same to the server as a client crash..

I didnt say client crash. I said "kicked from PvP".

You are BANNED from all queues for 30 minutes.
What worries me is that the bug has happened to me lots of times, I get queued for pvp, I appear on the pvp map, with a message that says something like "you're not on a group and will be kicked out of the map" and then I appear back where I was. If all of these times I'll get a 30 mins penalty then I don't think I'll queue anymore (not that I did it too much anyway)
i;ve queue for pvp in the morning.. 2 great games and i was: YEAH!! That;s the way!! Tried to queue in the afternoon and no pop in 30 min on first attempt and no pop in 40 min on a second one and now i;m like: dfaq?!!

This has to be hotfixed today.
Repeat, there is no fix for this. Really don't know what else to say here.
