Nefing the prone of it is stupid since any class (except GWF ofc) can dodge it and make the whole stun combo of GWF useless. But nerfing 25% of its dmg is a joke xD. Sometimes I think devs don't play their own game. If theres a spell which has too high dmg its probably HR's !AT WILL! with 20-30k dmg or shocking execution.

The irony is that it ain't even a real nerf... he's speaking as if GWFs are like CWs who's CC's are in cooldown or something. Tenacity + shortend duration will help with avoding the prone - prone - prone no-brainer for sure, but as if not being able to perma-prone-till-death is going to endanger GWFs or something *feh*.
Stop making excuses. Be a man. If you know something to be broken, stop using it. Otherwise, you've got no right to be speaking of 'balance.'
One thing they can do is increasing the cast time of SE and make it a channeling ability that can be interupted more easily.
The fact that it ignores DR and deal increasing dmg with how much HP you have lost are too good for a daily. At least for the new patch when everyone gets more DR and healing depressing kicks in.

I think I have to agree with one thing: looks like they don't play their own game. If they did, they would nerf gwfs weeks ago. But instead of that we get some crapy tenacity (jesus, where did they get this idea? not from neverwinter pvpers for sure) and another weeks/months of IV Sentinel "the king of pvp" fest
SE only ignores armor.. it does not ignore damage resistance gotten from other means (astral seal, etc et al, hunter rangers buffs that give damage resistance) So there are methods to reduce the damage.
can also be dodged.
any control spell interrupts their daily while they are jumping in the air.
and dang man how much longer do you need for their cast time on that ability? its already a second freakin long.
gwfs/gf's frontline surge nerf. yeah it is huge, but you know what? not so important. it will now hit a bit wider area, which was needed, and can hit up to 5 targets and not 3.. 25% damage reduction? okay..
yeah it hurts a bit. gwf's are reliant on alot of factors from class features / control for additional damage and damage buffs to hit you that high to begin with.. heh. meh.
it is not as bad as people make it out to be.. but most people are not good pvp'ers either. the good pvp'ers that are decked really will be testing things out / playing things out.
btw.. the main damage skill of a gwf, is not the overly long cooldown frontline surge btw.. eh.
anyway
the impact bothers us less.. and may be with hitting more tqargets/wider cone, better control for a party vs party even with shorter duration.

Dodging will also help avoiding the prone but thats too much to ask for for casual players like you . They came up with tenacity and shorter duration of prones so casual players like you will stop crying ^^.
I have to agree, frontline surge is a dead skill now, along with all it's related feats.
I would more than gladly respec and scrap it for any other skill, since it does not provide my character
with what it should, anymore. If we had gotten free respecs that is...
Threads with nerf requests are, not feedback. Comprehend the forum rules before you try to use them to your advantage, mate. Besides, i have the exact same opinion about the unneeded nerf to the damage of said skill. What's not allowed in this conversation are the off topic posts, such as your own.
Anyways, on topic: Somebody tell me, why we have not gotten free respecs.
He said it beause of the thread's title.

I noticed the change in damage but really, it's barely even noticeable in PvP.

I'm with Tang on this one... it's hardly noticeable in PVP and tbh, I rather like its new abilities in PVE (increased target cap makes up for the decreased damage).

Pvp aside, isn't this a buff for pve? You do 25% less damage, but you gain 66% more capacity? Obviously you don't always get 5 mobs, but more often enough that it's actually a buff? The prone I can't speak of because I haven't done anything ingame yet since the change.

I think all abilities that also have CC component should have their damage reduced significantly.
CC vs dmg should be a choice, critting 15k on an AOE ability which also applies prone is beyond reason.
And for all those pitiful GWF who play the victim by saying "oh everybody is dodging it anyway" then why the hell are you all using it? and if it's so useless why do you care if it's getting nerfed?

Just whom are you talking to? please make sense.

Quite personally, I'm glad to see them try to introduce something to help with PvP balance that doesn't wreck things for PvE players like me.
