Hey everyone,
New Cleric here only level 30, and I just got to my paragon path choice. Been reading a lot of the forums trying to get an understanding, and from what I've gathered it seems DO is the way to go for PVE healing?
If that is the case would someone be able to link me to a good guide to read over, I'm just having a hard time figuring out where to spend my points, and there are so many guides available with a lot of controversy I'm just not sure which ones are good and I should be following?
Thanks in advance

AC works perfectly fine in PvE as well; it's just a matter of preference since both can do the job.
You'll actually find less controversy in the DC forums because there are way too many bad DC feats, and most players are in agreement as to which ones are not worth investing in.
I don't use any of the guides here, but I don't imagine that my own build is so different.
Example of DO Feats (Righteous):

Example of DO Feats (Faithful):

Personally I prefer AC, but that's not because it's obviously so much better. I just enjoy the play style and love Exaltation for its unique mechanic and life-saving potential. It's particularly fun in PvP, but has nice utility for PvE as well for several reasons.

and thanks for the calcs those definitely help alot
Also in your opinion is it better to run faithful or righteous?
My opinion is that AC is better in skilled, coordinated PvP. DO is simpler to use effectively and arguably suffers less from your team being an uncoordinated mess, while AC rewards great timing and positioning.
I run my main DC Righteous mainly because I find Healing Step to be a huge asset in PvP and because PvE is doable with pretty much any viable spec. If you enjoy more mobility and want to be more viable in PvP and/or as a group off-tank, I'd recommend Righteous. If you are less concerned about overall survivability and want more bells and whistles on your group healing, then Faithful will do the trick.
Again, these aren't the only ways to play, and everyone will have a different opinion, but I can at least say that those two examples are viable

Thanks so much
Can you tell me your encounter skills?
Np
Encounters change based on need, but as DO I used to run these setups (at lvl 30 you won't have all of them yet):
Defensive Support: Astral Shield, Sunburst, Healing Word (Bastion of Health if the entire party keeps taking damage and stays close together). Sacred Flame and Astral Seal for At-Wills; Divine Armor and Hallowed Ground for Dailies; Foresight and Healer's Lore or Divine Fortune for Class Features.
- For my defensive AC setup I run Astral Shield, Exaltation, and Healing Word, replacing Sacred Flame with Blessing of Battle for an At-Wil and using Anointed Holy Symbol and Anointed Armor for Class Features. I usually use this load-out in PvP as well.
- For parties that are more self sufficient, drop a healing skill (usually Healing Word/BoH/Forgemaster's) and replace with Divine Glow for faster clear
Solo Setup (for daily quests or for giggles as an assistant DPS): Divine Glow, Chains of Blazing Light, Daunting Light. Sacred Flame, Astral Seal/Brand of the Sun for At-Wills; Hallowed Ground and Flame Strike for Dailies; Terrifying Insight and Foresight for Class Features.
- For AC slot whatever At-Wills and Class Features are appropriate. Solo content is a cakewalk no matter what you slot as long as you have some passive healing (Regeneration, Miracle Healer set bonus, temp HP feats and features, etc.) in your build. If playing DPS in a group (rare, but it can happen), I'd keep Blessing of Battle and Astral Seal on to help the team.

Thank you very much! I'll take a look:)
I heart your guide so much even though I don't actually need one. Color coding and informative with statistics:)
Thanks, glad I could contribute something useful I don't make threads about my class builds because there are already plenty of templates out there, but I do like to discuss powers and feats. I've been playing for nearly a year now and still occasionally learn a fun fact or read a suggestion from another player that makes consider more options.
