Trouble with ARC

ARC is hanging up(Frozen) on checking for updates screen. Any ideas why? Tried to use the repair utility and it hung up on that as well.

    i would try uninstalling and re-installing ARC. if that doesn't work, you may need to set ARC to run as admin if your windows profile does not have those permissions. it could also be a firewall issue. if nothing works, locate the file neverwinter.exe. you should be able to run neverwinter (and other PWE games) without starting ARC.
