Stack refined enchantments

Hi,

When you refine enchantments to rank 5 they have excess points in them. Is there a way to then get them to stack for storage? If not it seems like there should be a way to forfeit additional points in the enchantment refining window, so they are a zero point stackable rank 5 again.

Anyone know a trick to pull this operation off? I tried having a friend post an auction and then cancel it. No joy.

When the change was first on preview, you could stack them and they'd lose the extra refining points. That got taken out unfortunately. I've got a ton of event enchants that I'd like to rank up, but atm it would just cost me more bag space.

I've run into this issue myself. In the end I just caved, bought 2 extra slots, roles another alt and stored them there. Perhaps that's their master plan. Nickel and dime is their middle names after all.

I would love an option to strip the refining points from an enchantment so I could stack them as I often refine something to where it has say 5-10 points vested into the next rank.

The only recourse I've found is to *not* bother refining an enchantment until you either need it or it's already slotted in something. It doesn't seem worth the extra bag spot just to keep one "work in progress".

yep the extra refining points prevent it from stacking if you can manage to get them right to 0 extra points they still stack (if the refining dont crit for example).

My solution is only keeping r3/4 and stacks of lesser marks/preservation wards so you go making r5 on demand instead of keeping stacks of r5, this also saves up my guild bank space(rather than the old way stacks of r3/4/5).

If you need extra space...mail them to yourself...as long as stuff isn't bound its an easy free solution for keeping stuff around

On my characters, any gem I pick up will be used in the following way:
    1. Put in empty slot / replace lesser gem.
    2. If all slots full, refine slotted gem. Like gems go with like gems only.
2.a. Exceptions: training runes = artifact food, pearls / peridots etc = weapon / armor enchant.
    3. If slotted gem requires an equivalent to rank up (i.e. 7+), begin process of making an r7. Once second r7 is complete, refine.

I will occasionally bank an r6 knowing I will need it to make an r7 in the near-ish future, but that's about it.
