this is just a suggestion but I have gotten keys for the boxes and I was not to excited to get another one if you put more in them say 1 really good item and 2 to 4 ok items.I am sorry to compare this other games but in a game called Fallen earth they have a red Lockbox which 1 vanity item and 5 or 6 uncommon mats. ppl buy the keys for that like mad if you did that for you boxes ppl more likely to buy the keys
hi I am hepply married and I love my hubbie and my daughter
So the 110% speed mount , epic companion , epic artifact aren't really good? plus they also contain lots of other stuff ranging from really good to just okay depending on which lockbox you decide to open, granted you only have a chance to get the really good items but that is how most free to play lockbox or gambling systems work .

The difference between this and other games is that you can pay for the lockbox keys with in-game earned currency, while in other games you can usually only buy it with real money. Adding better items in lockboxes or making them more likely to drop better items won't necessarily increase the amount of money they make by selling keys.
With that said i do agree that lately lockboxes became a good way to waste your AD/money, nothing more, since you'll have a very low chance to get something useful out of it. When the latest lockbox was introduced i've opened 20 lockboxes a few minutes after the server went live and got a bunch of junk, and what's worse i haven't even got enough tradebars from 20 lockboxes to get a coal ward, which is really sad.

I think you misunderstood the OP.
He's saying as opposed to wasting a key on the lockbox equivalent of a "rank 3 enchantment from an adamantine gauntlet", that they actually put something in every box that would at least be useful. I stopped buying keys after spending 70 bucks and lucking out with absolute HAMSTER. Now I just save up the diamonds til someone overloads the market with 300k pets and 600k mounts. It's a better gamble than what is currently available. Even tarmalune trade bars don't sway me.
It's really sad, considering the wasted potential.
