I could do some number crunching myself, but I was curious if anyone has figured this out already. For a Conqueror GF, which is better... The Timeless longsword or a Fomorian/Fallen Dragon? The former boasts about 200 more power (400 power with Reckless Attacker at full Guard) but a weapon damage range about 5% lower than the Fomorian.
Anybody know?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps it's because I'm on my phone now, but all I see is a listing of longsword weapon data, no dps math. What exactly leads you to believe weapon damage>higher power?

Power Tooltip = Power*0.04
So 1 weapon damage would equal around 25 power. The power coefficient varies per damaging ability, but they all scale in a linear way.
Now, each weapon has a base damage in the tooltip. For example, the Formian has a base Damage of 549-671 and a timeless has a base Damage of 525-641. When two weapons are compared, say timeless versus Formian; The tooltip comparison tells you you will get an extra +15 damage.
This means that the average base damage of the new weapon (formian) is +15 more than the current one, which is equivalent to about +375 power.
Summary: Throw the one with the more power in the trash, and use to the one with +15 extra damage.
"It is said that idle hands are the Devil's tools: Idle geek hands, however, came up with gunpowder, nuclear weapons, and toilet plungers." -Illiad
So Encounter abilities are 100% based on weapon damage and power scales to weapon damage at a linear rate of 1 to 25? I knew the power-weapon damage ratio, I did not realize ALL ABILITIES considered ONLY weapon damage. If that's really true then you're correct.
EDIT To clarify what I mean, for example, basically all abilities in WoW scale partially on weapon damage and partially on attack power. For some abilities, weapon damage accounts for less than 25% of the damage, so it's better to stack power. However, some abilities are totally useless until you get a high-damage weapon because attack power only affects small percentages of the total ability damage compared to weapon damage.

As for best DPS?
Timeless still has the most power, BUT that does not matter that much. The Damage does...
Damage
Timeless Hero: 525-641
Formian Fabled: 549-671
Fallen Dragon: 549-671
So between the Formian Fabled and Fallen Dragon, you have to choose whether you want:
A) More Recovery + Life Steal
More Regen + Defense + Deflect
That's really the only major differences.

Simply reference the powers in the GF tree: http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Guardian_Fighter#Powers
None of them rely on "Power" to stack damage. Your "power" stat simply stacks linearly ON TOP of your "weapon damage" as given by the weapon itself.
Say you have a Formian Fabled Sword:
Damage 549-671
Say you ALSO have 6000 power:
6000 / 25 = 240 Damage increase
You can now say that your base damage is Weapon + Power/25 or:
Damage 549(+240)-671(+240) = 789-911
*EDIT*
Control Wizard works a bit differently due to buffs and other indirect variables, but for a GF, this should be correct.
