I've done a few forum searches but can't really find anything helpful.

As the title says I'm getting back into the game and have no idea where to pick things up. My character is a DC and I've basically just got some cheap great I got out of the ah when I hit 60.

How should I proceed? Do I need to gear up before I try the stuff from modules one and two? There is so much to do it makes my head spin. What dungeons should I start with? I never really got into doing them at 60.

Thanks for your help.

Welcome back. No you can start the modules immediately and I suggest you do since the early boons that you acquire can get you some gear score. It's take about 2 months to complete sharandar and a month for dread ring. They are daily quests you do and can be done rather quickly once you get a hang of them. For dungeons you want to run the T1 dungeons till you get a t1 set unless you bought one on the AH then you might be able to jump right into the t2 dungeons. T1 dungeons have a lower gear score requirement so they are easy to get into and easier to defeat. T2 dungeons have a 8.4k gear score requirement which means the dungeons are harder than t1. Each dungeon will drop only certain pieces of gear. My first suggestion is try to get at least rank 5 enchants in all your gear slots and work your way up while you farm for gear; work on the modules; and shoot for either miracle healer or high prophet sets for PVE.

Also, the first thing you should do is talk to Sergeant Knox and get the "Artifact facts" quest. Complete that and the mission right after it and you will get your first artifact. You can dump enchantments into that in order to improve it's stats. It also has a special ability on it.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.
