Need vs Greed Seems Worthless

Yes, I mean this seriously: if almost everyone is simply going to Need on everything, then the whole point of the system is broken. It would make more sense to simply go Roll, or Pass.

It doesn't help matters that we're flooded with acres of unidentified, nearly-worthless Green vendor trash anyway.

    I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to be thrillingly original.

    Actually, the system itself isn't "worthless," it's just that thoughtless players make it so. The system would work just fine, if it weren't for the "speshul" players.

    The OP is right, the system is broken, i chose need to everything that i can, and i greed everything else, theres no motive to do otherwise, and you know why?

    Becose green and blue items are throwed in your face, no one really NEED anything that drops most of the time, its just good to sell for some silver in npc shops, or some little ADs in AH, and better i have that than you.

    And dont make me start with that <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> message things that blind me in the middle of combat. To hell if John Doe got the rank 4 enchant! Get out of my sight!

    So, yes, this thread is not new, and until they come with something better, it will be posted again, and again and again...

    Our group decided greed on Epics, but the DC hit need for everything, even though she had better, and got all the loot.

    Need before Greed would work a lot better, if you're only allowed to roll Need on stuff your class can actually use. Because, if your class can't use it ... it's Greed, by definition.

    This is true, even if you claim you "need" gear for your alt. If that's the case ... run the dungeon on your alt.
