I've just recently hit 60, and as such, I've just recently begun to do PvP Domination matches - on the whole, the absolute worst part of this game and an absurdly loathsome experience, at least as a new 60 with a less than 10k gear-score. No PvP I've ever seen has been so insanely difficult to get into, nor as sharply worse than the rest of the game; I'd give everything else in the game maybe a 7-8/10 on average, but the PvP is so absolutely rubbish that I think I'd have to dig into negative numbers to properly show how little I care for it.
Again, this is speaking as a new 60 with a less than 10k gear-score.
Many of the matches I'm in - always for the dailies, though occasionally I can pick up a piece of gear from Glory or Diamonds gained therefrom; this is coming to a thankful end - begin and end in a landslide stomping, two or more party members quitting and the remainder of the 'team' getting mercilessly spawncamped by a pack of five high-geared folks for ten minutes until they give up on fighting and just run circles around the campfire to avoid being AFK-kicked.
I would throw in an insult to those who engage in such practices, but to be honest, I don't feel like it.
But this post isn't about the great majority of high-geared teams I've had the misfortune of encountering, or the majority of my experience with the PvP, come to think of it. The two really are one and the same.
This post is about a practice I've had the startling relief to have encountered only twice.
I feel I should get to the point, and so I shall, without further fanfare or buildup:
Some few teams - as I said, I've encountered this only twice - will be kind enough to allow a clearly outmatched team to 'trade' a point. They allow the losing team to take a point, whereupon said relieved losers will step off the point, allow the enemy team to retake it, and this scene repeats ad infinitum until the 'game' is complete.
To anyone who does this, I thank you. Sincerely, I do. You don't make the PvP worth it, but at the very least it's quite kind of you to restrain yourselves and, recognizing the inevitability of your victory, allow the losers to at least gain some Glory.
Don't lose heart with the PvP system just yet , incase you are not aware PvP in neverwinter is being totally reworked if you want to check out the changes copy your level 60 over to the test shard and take a look , here are the patch notes for the test servers - http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/forumdisplay.php?1182-NeverwinterPreview-Shard
And yes sadly a lot of people in PvP are overly competitive but there is a minority of really nice PvPers too.

Here's the thing, I'll always allow the other players a cap to get the points so they don't get zero. But drawing out the fight by trading caps for 10 mins will just make the match take longer and actually lower the glory/min for both teams. You'll get more per min by quick losing with minimal points than trading all match. Instead of trading caps ask for one vs one. If you are undergeared you'll probably still lose quickly but you might learn something about playing your class against that other class that will benefit you more as you get geared.
edit*
Also be sure if there is another person left on your team to let them know what's going on. If we're letting you cap so you get glory and your teammate tries to open up on us. Chances are it's going to be open season. I can't even count how many times that has happened anymore.

PvP is brutal for fresh 60s. However , PvP will be improved soon and matchmaking will be put in place, so hopefully you will be put together with people at the same level of PvP experience.
Oh, I know it's supposed to be being improved soon. I might even try it afterward. Maybe I'll enjoy it, in which case I'll honestly be impressed.
Thank you all for the encouragement, as well.
Charononononononus (sorry, I started sounding it out and got carried away for a moment): These matches usually don't take ten minutes, really. Probably closer to seven. I get your point, though - the efficiency factor is certainly a consideration, which really makes it all the kinder that some people do this. And I do make certain to let party members know.

trading bases back and forth after the match is clearly over is kinda lame and inefficient.
I always allow the other team to cap their home starting base instead while you focus on mid. People are less likely to quit if they aren't completely dominated in the first 60 seconds and mid is the only base that matters anyway. Once it's clear your going to win and people start to quit, i'll allow anyone who didn't leave who doesn't have enough points to earn glory a chance to cap so they get something for their time, but then it's all about ending the match to start another.
