Try running the Neverwinter launcher in administrator mode, and if that doesn't work, safe mode. Administrator mode sounds so obvious, but even if you are on the administrator account you need to do it manually.

If you are using steam, the Neverwinter.exe is in:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cryptic Studios


May or not be common knowledge, just thought I'd share because I just ran into this problem and that's what fixed it.

Tried this. Still won't progress past loading screen. This happens to me after EVERY weekly patch and I then have to scrounge around to find some way to load the game just ONCE because after that it seems to work alright. *grumble*

[EDIT]: And again, Safe Mode + Windowed Mode works the treat. ^.^
