Just curious before I fork out ad I don't have....I know it's probably far from the best set, but I've gotten two pieces so it would be cheapest to buy the other two for 4 piece. Master Duelists 4 piece says "every 4th at will reduces your recharging encounters by 1 second" So with duelists flurry for example, would that be every 4 sets of each of duelists flurries 3 chained attacks equaling 1 second off your cool downs? Or if I'm going for a poor mans stealthy build...should I just grab battlefield scavengers? Thanks.

IMO... play GG and go for battlefield skulker, if resources are an issue. You eventually get the prize no matter what and ya get to have some fun doing it.

I am running mixed battlefield scav and master duelist 2/4-2/4. It works ok due to ioun stone, enchants and boons, but otherwise.. it's probably not optimal at all. (I'm maintaining and upgrading 7 chars which means none of them gets proper focus.) I'm not sure what I'd go after if I was only focused on my main TR (I have two) but if I were to go for a full set from scratch I would probably start with Batt Skulk. Most of my chars did pvp for the first purple set, but I'm not a pvp'r and the sets didn't suit my needs.

I don't communicate with many people in game, so I admit there are probably tons of people who can give you better advice than I can. Also, it's way past my bed time and I can't even tell if what I've just typed makes any sense. hahaha

oh.. I've been running this tr since like april or may 2013. whenever NW went open beta, that very day. It needs a respec and such. Even so, it works very well although its spec'd with whatever crazy uninformed choices I happened to make while leveling. Whatever I attack dies quick. And I laugh. (PVE, No need for any cyber-dudes to feel challenged. LOL)

Yeah, honestly not even sure where to get skulkers....ah prices are going to be FAR out of my reach for a loooong time....plus im also not much of a pvp'er =/ Skulkers from the same pvp vendor as scavengers?

I suppose what I was wondering is if Scavengers or Master Duelists will allow me to stay in stealth longer.

Thanks though for the response, skulkers is definitely my goal, but I'm assuming that will be a long time from now.

Get skulker from GG. If you do GG regularly, i know people who have farmed it in 3 days. If you are a busy person, do one GG a day, it might take you 8 days or so. It's not hard.

For PvE, swash has some real advantages, but that's for group dungeons. PvP, skulker is king. Dread legion set is nice too, you hit like a train.

Yeah, pretty much what ChemBoy said, regards Skulker. Thing is, it's pvp centric maybe, but is T2 quality, I think. With TR, even PVP gear works in PvE, pretty much. Maybe not so much the other way around. With GG you are playing to collect coins.. with which you buy the gear. So it's a guaranteed get. You don't even have to try that hard it can just be quicker with more effort.

Skulker is really awesome. The 25% stealth is really noticeable.

But to answer your question about Master Duelist, ironically it doesn't work well with Duelist's Flurry. DF's 3rd hit, the fast knife slashes, counts as only 1 hit. This set works best for quicker At-Wills like Sly Flourish and Cloud of Steel. I personally like this set if I'll be going for a Scoundrel build that concentrates on getting Impossible to Catch out of CD as quick as possible. With 30% RSI, we'll be getting ITC's CD to roughly ~13 secs. 8 seconds effective CD since ITC lasts 5 seconds. In one duration of ITC, we can use Sly Flourish about 8 times, further reducing the duration of the cooldown by 2 seconds. It can be pretty crazy, having an ITC uptime like that.
