Hello,

I am wondering if you have a character named, for example, "bob", who is a cleric, and you dislike the class cleric, can you delete that character and make a thief with the name bob again? or is that name deleted alongside the character?

Cheers!

Yes, you can reuse the name on that account.

Also character names are not unique so multiple people can have the same character name. You however can only have 1 character with a given name on a given account.

Your character name need not be unique to you alone - it is your account name/@handle that IS unique - you could have bob@player1 and bob@player2, for instance.

Regarding character names - they sell a rename token so you don't have to lose your progress if you just want to change said character's name. Also, you may want to consider giving your characters a last name so that you can differentiate between one character named "Bob" and another you may also want to call Bob...

You can't have two characters with the exact same name on a single account.

So you could be Bob@krithiums and I could be Bob@ambisinister but neither of us could have two characters named Bob. As bioshrike said, though, you can rename a character, for a fee, so that another character can be created or renamed to Bob.

Just note you still can't rename a character to Bob if you already have a different character named Bob and I am 99% sure the names are not case specific so 'Bob' and 'BoB' would still count as the same name.
