Not enough!

Ok I am about 3 days playing with foundry, room builder to be more exact (creating some kind of underground base).

To be short - NOT ENOUGH!

Not enough of everything - not enough objects (funny some of things I would like I saw in game but they are not available in foundry), not enough versions of objects, not enough objects of different size.
At moment I already spent 412 objects... and thats only walls, floors and ceilings (limit was... 1500 and that not enough as well). Reasons - exactly those that I stated, mostly lack of big sized objects but also insufficient amount of objects and their versions plays their part.

Is there expected some significant raise of available objects for foundry?

No, if you get towards 1500, when published some people will have lag issues. Even more so if you use effects such as fog

They are adding new items with each mod though and 1500 is enough. Is plenty, really.

As long as they will not provide MUCH bigger floor and ceiling sections (and walls too actually) - no it not enough. As I already wrote I spend already 412 and have not finished even all walls, floors and ceilings.
floor sections like 40-ish x 40-ish or 50-ish x 50-ish is just laughable. there should be 100x100 and 200x200 (at least)

If you need a really big floor or ceiling you can use the nw pe wall and rotate it 90 degrees. This thing costs 1 object and is gigantic.

/me take hat off and bow :)
Thank You sir! I did not thought about such possibility although I think You will agree that this is although elegant but still unplanned and unexpected workaround instead of provided and expected solution

Maybe you are building too big?

I came here from building in the NWN toolset and was mortified at the lack of furniture and generally indoor rooms. I wanted to make this really great quest.

Now that I have had more time and learning from the great reviewers here, small is what is demanded. Most are shooting for the 15-20min quest.

Then I played a lot of them. You don't want to be stuck in the middle of one. Can't start there, finish or start over. Doesn't matter how good, if I have to spend a half hour doing it again just to see the end, I might not ever go back.

Too big can turn your masterpiece into the barren desert of King Bore. Too big with so few decorating options, once the walls and floors are done, means your wide open space will have to have 12 barrels just make every barrel position accounted for to give some variety to the realistic objects for the room. Count the crates in quests and foundry mods. Allot of crates out there... maybe that is where they have hidden the other good objects, like a good metal gate that fits the archway..... Or a bowl.

Yes - as izatar pointed out -- look at turning some things sideways or even upside down - I'm using the PE wall on it's side underneath the terrain for my logic-handling area. I used to build it up using multiple platforms and invisible walls. Boom! pe wall on it's side. done. :-)

Also look at some of the "craggy rocks" and "cliffs" some of the "bottoms" you can use as a very rough-yet-flat rocky area.
Also think of "burying" things partially into the ground, or turning them upside down (I'm using just the bottom 3-feet? of the giant drow spinning effect inverted over a candle (well, five candles) in a summoning ritual in my Old Magic quest.

Think outside the box and look at how you can use pieces of assets.

As far as 1500 items not being enough, well, that's probably a good thing. You should definitely look at perhaps breaking up the area into multiple maps, perhaps a stairs, or pit, or door leads to another level (map) -- and then you've got a whole new 1500 items to play with on the new map.
