Enable When and Disable When in the Dialogue Tree

melindenmelinden Member Posts: 619 Arc User
So in my effort to try new things I wanted to disable a response in the dialogue tree. I was having trouble.

Here's the specific case:

2 dialogues are objectives side by side. The player can do either one first. I wanted to disable a response for one dialogue IF the second objective was already complete.

On the drop downs for Enable When and Disable When we only get "Objective in Progress" and "Objective Complete" aside from Immediately and Never.

When I try and Add Objective I get a blip on my screen like another detail box is trying to open and NOT the objective drop down menu we are used to. I don't see anything after the blip.

1. Is this just me?
2. Is it because the dialogue is part of an objective?
3. Am I the last person to realize this is broken?

So option 3 then. Well I suppose I'll just do it honor system Choose Your Own Adventure style instead.

Has this issue not been addressed? edit Ok, so looking at the boards it seems this is the first comment in 5 months. SO I will answer my own question, no it has not been addressed. No there is no workaround.

When you are in the dialog editor, and you want an "Enable When" on a player response, you press the "Add Objective" button and no window appears to make you selection, and an Exclamation point is added to you issues thing. Each successive time you press "Add Objective" a new exclamation point is added. This function is broken.
