I can't find one effect in editor

tiborrustiborrus Member Posts: 94 Arc User
I have seen in many Foundry quest an effect(especially in dungeons): floating and rotating objects(bricks and others...) in the air. I've tried several times, but I can't find it in the editor.(this is effect or detail?!) Can you help me?

Does it have screen shaking as well? Maybe this one...

FX - Dust Ring 01: this provides a screen-shaking earthquake effect.

Thx for reply, eldarth, but no.I know FX-Dust Ring 01.
In this effect the "rotating circle" is little, and floating objects are black bricks and other debris.I'll try to make a screenshot.
( the objects are rotated about their own axes rather)

Anything you see in a Foundry quest that is floating and/or rotating is built into that asset - it's not an effect, it's the asset itself. Some assets are animated - so even if you didn't want it animated you're stuck with it. To find the particular asset you saw and are referring to, browse the asset library for it and place it into your map. Then play test it and you will see that it already is animated.

Unfortunately you cannot apply animation willy-nilly to anything (though I wish you could, especially if it were triggerable - such as moving a wall or something.)

Ok, I mean "effect" = Detail -> Effects

I know this is an animated asset, but I don't know it's name. I've looked twice all assets, but I couldn't find such a thing.

Unfortunately - there are many "missing" assets - such as you might see in game, but not in the foundry. Many of those missing assets are simple thing you'd expect to find there (like basic levers as used throughout the game and on request for a year now).

Also, it was recently noted that many assets there *were* in the Foundry had gone missing (a Dev reported the reason, which I'll not detail here for brevity). So if it's something you've seen in another Foundry Quest, I suggest you email the author and ask them. If they can't remember, they can always go in and check it, but you'll need to be detailed as possible about where it is located and looks like.

I hope someone can present a better, more helpful answer for you. :)

...and they are actually moving, correct? Not just floating in place. And are they floating in any direction - up/down/sideways?

Found FX - Rock Storm -- but they are bigger rocks - and yours look like bricks of some kind.

What Foundry Quest is it in?

Hmm.. I wonder if that is part of an existing pre-created map.
...can you get a "M" map overhead shot of that part of it?
    - maybe we can match it to an existing portion of a map.

It's not an effect. If you look at the lighting options for several (but not all) dungeon and crypt rooms in the Layout screen you can select "Spellplague" for the lighting. That will get you the blue light and the floating details. I used it in one room in the Mere of Dead Men quest I most recently published.

They may be an option for other rooms but I haven't tested them all.

Who'da thunk it -- lighting option also gives you floating debris. *facepalm*

    Thanks!
