Transmute question

Tried to look around but haven't found anything on this.

I want to transmute a gear, but before droping 50k I wanted to make sure of something.

This the the armor I'm wearing:

This is what I want to transmute to:

And this is what appears in the preview in "change item appearance":

You can see that the cloth below the waist doesn't disappear, will it look like that after transmute? Cause that cloth is exactly what I want gone. Same happens when I tried with my TR.

Can anyone please confirm that the preview is glitched and the final result will look exactly like the one I transmuted to (no skirt)?

    I find it helps to unequip whatever you have already on and Change Appearance against a naked body to get a non-glitched idea of what it will look like, i.e. what you are seeing is almost certainly an example of a common visual bug with Change Appearance.

    It shouldn't have the skirt. My suggestion is to do the transmutation on the preview server.

    Yeah this bug only shows on appearance and you see it on your character right after the transmution. But changing zones or re-equip your piece of gear fix this problem. I paid several times 50k AD and they all were bugged on the Change Appearance window but they all changed normally after a relog/change instance/re-equip.

    So yeah you can safely pay the 50k AD to get the appearance a you want ^^.

    Ty for information guys. I tried removing the armor and doing the transmute on inventory and it didn't appear wrong on preview, so I went for it.

    Nice to know that it's safe to do it even when glitched =]

    Should have followed the preview tip for dyes though, cause I went all black dye and it was too black lol

    Preview server? Also, if you transmute a gear item, does it keep costing AD to continue transmuting it each time you want a change?

    It costs AD to transmute something each time you make an appearance change. The only exception is for free-to-transmute items, and even then it's only that initial transmutation that's free (0 AD cost).
