I'm actually here to ask about two things I've noticed as a level 60 GWF; Unstoppable and Avalanche of Steel. I'll mainly be using references from my times soloing T2 Epic Karru, since I can get into broken groups around 2nd boss and solo both bosses. It takes some time and potions but it's doable.
First, Unstoppable. I've noticed it's not really unstoppable anywhere besides PvP. There are many knockbacks that knock you back 100% of the time. Such as Karrundax's fireball (which knocks you down on the ground) and her wing flap thing (which just pushes you back without sending you prone). Also, in Sharandar the Giantsouls can push you back, totemists in MC can stun you, and so on. If this isn't a glitch, then can you rename Unstoppable to occasionally unstoppable with a few exceptions? Or is that a bit too long?
Lastly, Avalanche of Steel. I've only noticed this in Karru. When I use it fighting Karrundax, and she uses her huge wing flap AoE, I get knocked back and stunned. While still in air. This may not be a glitch, but I don't think it makes sense if I'm higher in the air than the actually dragon using a downwind attack. Oh well, I'm not a dev but these two things are really annoying me.
There are many enemies in this game that can knock you back while unstoppable is up, not just a few in Epic Karr.
But i don't know about unstoppable having full control immunity though. Tool tip lies or it could be just a bug.
Examples: The golems in Fardelver crypt, upon death, will explode and prone players who are caught in the blast unless dodged. However it also prones while unstoppable is up and it wastes about 3-4 seconds of it too. Not only that it also knocks you back, so that may be 2 bugs in one.
Now let's compare another golem, the one in the winter festival. Same thing happens when it dies, it explodes and anyone caught will be knocked backed and proned. However with unstoppable up all it does is a slight knockback but no prone. Makes sense? Nope. So my guess is it's a bug.
the bug exists since the beginning, so there isnt much chance of it getting fixed, cause in their dictionary immune to cc doesnt translate same way as everywhere else
HR, all dragons, valindra, totemists in mc, spinning <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> from sharandar and so on
There's a whole bug thread dedicated to flagging specific mobs abilities as control powers, which it appears the devs have to do one by one.
So, if you find something new/not in there, or just in general, that may be a good place to post about such issues since devs definitely track that thread.
Also, as you will see in the thread, certain attacks, especially large attacks from dragons, will often just go through anything and this is fully intended, no matter how annoying and no matter what class (e.g. even poor GF's through their guard and limited mobility get caught by them).
GWF's have it much better than GFs too btw because in general if it affects Unstoppable it definitely affects Guard and there are many things that ignore GF's Guard either consistently or intermittently, including in PvP.
