Types of damage

hi all, wanted to know what the difference or ownership of each of the types of damage, such as necrotic damage, arcane damage, frost damages and others. some say the necrotic ignores defense and really idk if this is true and where they get that information. greetings from chile

    There is no difference. They are all just labels in the current game.

    As for Necrotic, previously some sources of this damage, e.g. Tenebrous, used to ignore mitigation. This is no longer the case and has nothing to do with the damage being "Necrotic".

    necrotic still ignores defenses i think from boons - lifedrinker etc but not from tenebrous....or i hope so at least

    No, it does not. Even if it did, that would be the Boon doing it not the fact its Necrotic. Other sources of Necrotic damage do not ignore mitigation.

    then its a good thing i removed my lifedrinker for vorpal....
