Gearing up for PvP

So...first 60 finally...I play a DC and I like to DPS on him. I start off matches as a healbot though because I get tired of hearing people <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> and moan at me and my gear isn't great anyway so sure ok.

So far today I've done 3 matches in about 35-40 minutes. I've gotten 276 glory. My 2 first games were premade 5 man overgeared rolfstomps that earned me zero glory. Last one we got our **** together too little too late and lost but it was close.

At this rate, I might have a set of PvP gear in a month, and another month for the PvP artifact. That is awful, especially when I look at the gear set and I am less than thrilled about the stats it comes with. Lifesteal? Ehhhhh...

So...am I correct in assuming that the only way to really gear for PvP is to just do dungeons until my eyes bleed and hope for lucky drops because the token prices are pretty **** high on gear. If it is..that's really sad to me and I doubt I'll be sticking around much longer.

Stack blue youth gear and defense/deflect accessories, this should keep you reasonably alive in PvP as long as you aren't getting roflstomped.

Run GG every time it's on for GG coins to get the T2 PvP gear(and more importantly imo, the symbol and offhand). THis is pretty decent gear for running dungeons.

Run T2 dungeons for your BiS gear.

Get R7-8 enchants, soulforged and a weapon enchant.

Hearing that I need to run dungeons for PvP gear is really not what I wanted to hear heh. The cleric PvP glory set is pretty awful too...those stats make...no sense.

Start off buying some cheap Epic gear on the AH. No sets needed, just get your GS high enough to run T2 DDs (not hard). I'd suggest joining a PVE Guild (Order of the Raven, Whitecloaks, perhaps), to help you get the gear you need. Do our Shar and Dread dailies for the extra boons and you'll be set in no time.

Do you wanna run a dps cleric in PVP or not?

If yes, go farm you High Prophet set(T1). Btw dps cleric is pretty bad in PVP you better pray no one on the other team is good.

If no, grats, tanky dc pvp build is easily obtainable without even running dungeon.

You can just go to the GCTRL sentinel Cleric guide and gear as he does except for chest piece Armor of Avatar(blue gear can be foudn on AH cheap) is actually good as well.
