Stuck in Dread Ring Campaign

A friend of mine can't progress in the new campaign, the first Study of Thayan Writings is at 0:00 left but doesn't complete, nor can he accept any new quests.

I'm guessing he activated it before Knox told him.. and I'm also guessing he's not the only one.

(I know that people had similar problems with sharandar so I'm hoping it's an easy fix that can happen soon)

cant progress further, try to abandon the quest still stuck, restarted game , computer , waited for 1 day still same
plz help out here cant get new mission due to that

Fix it please! No way to progress through campaign! No way to unlock dungeons!
