I've been working on another adventure in the "Dangers of Dumedalot" series, and I think it's ready for some testing. Now, I say "testing," because as all other Authors know there is that stage in publication where you
think things are working smoothly, and you've tried the adventure with different characters and classes, but you're totally blind to your own typos, the "interact with Book_01" errors, the plot points that don't make sense, or that stray skeleton that seems stuck in the wall.
So... If you're the kind-hearted sort who understands this is still being refined, and if you won't dock my star rating right out of the gate for the unpolished stuff, and if you're willing to offer some feedback, I'd love to hear from you. I'll even be happy to exchange the testing/review/play-thru's of your own quest if you let me know the code.
The newest adventure, "Danger in the Stars," follows the same approach as the other "Dumedalot" adventures. The plot is really simple; don't go looking for deep character development here. The combat is pretty straightforward (though, perhaps, a little more challenging than the others in the series... basically less fights but a little tougher opponents).
This time I tried my hand at an adventure that could allow for replay. You can actually choose one of three "dungeon crawls" to work through, each with a different theme and different opponents.
The real focus of this adventure are the environments. I totally maxed out resources on this one, and was generous with the special effects. Hopefully the mood, the lighting, and the themes of each of the paths is pretty distinct.
It's possible to just push your way from one quest objective to the next. However, I tried to offer some "color" with NPC interactions (especially in the village before the dungeon crawling begins). For the player who likes to talk to NPCs, there are items to obtain which can be used in the dungeons to unlock a little help with the combat. Again, not a big deal, but hopefully something that some players will find entertaining.
Specific feedback that I'm looking for:
* Did the quest make sense? Did you get the gist of what's going on? Could you understand it even if you didn't read all the NPC dialogues?
* Does the combat feel balanced? There shouldn't be any overlapping mobs or anything (well, except for one place where a wandering creature will cause problems if you're just poking about too long).
* I've played through the quest with a couple of different characters/classes (a high-level well-geared Cleric, a mid-level mid-geared Wizard, a low-level average-geared Rogue, etc.). And I've watched over-the-shoulder as another player gave the quest a run to see what they might do. But I'm eager to hear what it's like for various classes/levels.
* Any funky text snafus that I need to fix?
* Any weird NPC behavior that should be addressed? (In the Foundry, sometimes a following companion would stop short at certain places on the cave floors, but it seems to be working better in the published version.)
* Is it fun? Too simplistic? Too weird? Basically, is there some glaring problem I'm not seeing that will provoke a negative player reaction?
Thanks in advance for your feedback. I appreciate it!

But the offer still stands. I'd be happy to trade a review and take a look at your Foundry if you've got the time to give my latest a go.
(Yesterday, with my daughter arriving home from college ...yes, I'm that old, so hush!... we loaded up Neverwinter together and I watched her play through "Danger in the Stars." What a hoot! While I gazed on silently, she chose to explore every single possible NPC dialogue thread. And besides catching a handful of typos for me, it was especially satisfying to watch her reactions, listen to her laugh, and then say things like, "Ooo! Are those pig-people?" or "Okay, now this guy needs to die now.")
If you want to trade reviews then my new one A Pirates Plunder could do with plays but don't feel that you must as it is daily now.
The only thing I noticed was that Travel needed a capital T in one of the objectives. The one to go to the Astral realm.
I REALLY liked the way you were able to fake OR logic. I have dutifully tucked that idea into my back pocket to see if I might be able to figure something out that would work as well as you did.

I recently played through your quest. I don't know how to do multiple quotes so I will just number the answers to your questions.
1.) Yes.
2.) The combat seemed fine, the only thing that confused me was that the Fomorian was only an elite while every other Fomorian is solo difficulty in the normal game.
3.) I played it with my almost 13k gear score rogue and it seemed easy, like I would have expected as pretty much every other foundry quest is easy for him.
4.) Not that I noticed.
5.) The NPCs acted fine from what I saw.
6.) Nothing that I noticed.
Would you mind playing mine?

After a day of adventuring, your vision starts to grow cloudy and you hear voices inside your head. Perhaps you should rest at a nearby inn and wait for your mind to clear.
I released it yesterday so you will probably find quite a few issues.
