I am new to these forums and was wondering if someone could explain to me why it is not acceptable to post communications between PW and a user? I see several notes from melodhywhr and a few other moderators at the end of closed threads where the ToS are quoted:

Rule 3.03 - No Posting of Personal Conversations or Personal Information
. . . . Topics such as these are considered breaches of privacy. Please refrain from posting such items including, but not limited to, email exchanges with GMs, admins, moderators, PWE Customer Service or personal communications with other members.

If there is an issue that concerns the player base then why shouldn’t they be allowed to see what is going on and comment? It may invite heated debate and shine light on poor service; but if CS isn’t performing well then we should know that too before spending real money.

No, this is not a troll post. Yes I really want to understand why a player should be censored when discussing something that may affect the rest of the community.

You're not even allowed to discuss moderation man, so this topic will go missing as well. If you have a "non-constructive" opinion, as deemed by the mod, the topic/post are bye-bye.

This is kind of like letting someone stand outside of lets say Target for example and shout at the top of their lungs that Target's products are all poor quality and you shouldn't buy them. You wouldn't expect a retail store to do this. If you want this kind of discussion you'll have to do it on alternate forums.

I just thought that it was normal behavior , Aeria used to do the same if you posted copy/paste of communications between yourself and support and I'm pretty sure that Arenanet did too when I played games by those 2 companies.

    This.

Basically, you can talk generally about many problems that affect the community, but not about the specific problem one person is having and the particulars of how they're resolving or not resolving it with PWE.

As an alternative, you take the body of your post, and mail it to one of the mods here as a question, and they might decide to fill you in on more of the reasoning, privately.
