Which weapon set?

With the new gear, I can almost softcap regen (1077) without using Ancients (or fomorians for that matter). So more regen seems like a bad idea to me, especially as my blue raven skull artifact will increase in power and give me more and more regen.

There are 2 wep sets, with bit different stats. One set has more power, less wep. damage and less life steal. The other set has less power (bad), more wep damage (good) and more life steal (good).

Even if I will have just 300 Life Steal, it might still be better than continuing to stack regen, I think.

So my questions are:

- is the better weapon damage on the crafted orb making up for the loss of power?
- which set is the better one all around, PvE and PvP? I won't use 2.5 Gold each time for example to change enchants.

Thanks :)

I already crafted the Dread-Weapon and am patiently waiting for the Off-Hand to drop. With module 2 I switched to more AP/survivability for my Cyro as he still hands out enough damage. I'm aiming for 10% LS and 1k Regen. That's fairly easy with the new boon + artifacts. Gettin Regen from HV + 550 from boon & pvp artifact = 1124, LS with new weapon set (279+155) + 3 defensive R8s (660) + third artifact/purple skeletal dog will get me to 1394 (~10%). Because I'm using Ancient Necromancer's I also slot HP/Def/Deflect in the remaining two defensive slots, but might be switching out one for Slavemaster/Pyro in the end.

    No clue about PVP.

I currently have 1606 regen which is at 11.1%, I decided to put my 2nd boon in regen instead of life steal, even though my regen is quite high already, but that +250 regen still gave me 1.2% extra. For pvp, I think regen is better than life steal as you'll often move from between point to point, and those extra ticks do matter

With choosing weapons, higher damage weapon will be a better choice than lower damage weapon even if the stats looks better on the lower dmg one.

With life steal, it's not really noticeable until you stack up to 1k, but if you think that's doing more for you, then go ahead, especially when the last dread boon comes in later where you can get 3X the life steal, it can be quite handy in pve

    Ty guys, Cyro, Merlin :)

For me I want life steal only as an additional bonus stat, after I softcap (around 1150 or so?) regen. I won't be able to stack so much of it, so it will just be a bit of stat spreading. Also, the dread weapon set is way more affordable than a fomorian so this is the path I'll follow, especially as I need every bit of AD nowadays.

What I'm interested is if anyone calculated which weapon set is better damage overall. I kinda remember there is a relation between weapon damage and Power? I'm really not good at maths but maybe somebody that knows the formula is able to calculate if the loss of power on the crafted orb is offset by its higher damage?

    iirc, it's +1 weapon damage = +25 power.

Time for math then, be right back :P

OK if this is the formula, things are like this:

... of the Dread Legion vs Fallen Dragon:
    121+77=198 additional Power
    -11 Weapon Damage-->11x25=275 Power

Fallen Dragon weapon set wins, with:

    +77 overall Power
    +216 Life Steal
    +14 Deflect
-14 Recovery (nobody cares about this at this stage)

It would be nice if somebody else will confirm these calculations.

What fragments are needed to craft the Fallen Dragon weapon?

Dread Fragments--the types are the same as for the Malabog's.

according to my calculations 1 weapon damage = 30 power.

Maybe fallen dragon is for (CN)preclear and fomorian is for boss.

Lifesteal can be more useful against in add-heavy dungeons for survability I guess.
(But who has that amount of resources to enchant both :) )
