Should I avoid armor pen for pve?

See the title. I keep hearing about some of our abilities not taking advantage of it, but I saw something was fixed last patch. So at this point, I'm confused. Is armor pen still sub par or is it worth picking up?

Several of the abilities were fixed in Module 2 to the point where Armor Penetration is well worth it in PvE.

The stat has always remained of value in PvP for many builds due to the limited range of burst spells mostly benefiting from ArP.

So, yes, it is worth it and no you should not avoid ArP, and more importantly is the fact they have clearly demonstrated a trend to fix it, so your investments should be safe.
