Is it Cryptics goal to make PvP matches painfully long? By making us harder to kill instead of giving us new maps? So we won't pvp as much?
This is not a post about balance, or unbalance....it is about all the new toys and boons...and wondering if Cryptic is trying to kill pvp...
My not very serious Premade joined the que last night and got a 4 GWF 1 DC group..yes a Troll comp...but I am not even complaining about that....
55 min match, in which all of us, even us squishy CW were hard to kill but ultimately had the most deaths...I don't think one person had kills out of the single digits...the whole match consisted of bouncing/sunbursting/repeling people off nodes to get points...If the CW and I were able to kill one of the GWFs in a somewhat faster time, another GWF was right there on the node in seconds....it took 2 GwF to kill me, to kill me faster it took 3, and I am not a Regen build, just have the new toys and boons.
Our team did have an awesome healer, we ultimately won, and we could've used a dif strategy but even then it prob would've still been a 45 min match.
I've played long matches that were fun, this, was not fun...
I like to pick up quick matches in pvp between getting work done at home...
More balanced matches this week have run 30+ mins...
*And yes we could've left when we saw the Troll comp, but, knowing that they thought they were just going to ROFLstomp a pug, I for one stuck around.

So far most of the pvp builds here in the class parts of the forum have the words "pretty much unkillable". Well that's what you get when everybody is pretty much unkillable. PvP sessions last one hour and end up 997/1000.
Might be time for more elaborate pvp maps, don't you think you devs?

This would not be an issue if they would make a deathmach arena WITH artifacts enabled, and they would disable the artifacts in domination.
Not a PVPer at all, but currently forced to because I want that artifact on multiple chars. I understand why some people are frustrated: It is boring as hell and I can also see why people are quitting as soon as they realize a lopsided match. The glory reward, even in an competitive outcome, for the losing team is a mere joke. So as someone gunning for glory I have to speed-dial through multiple matches until I have a guaranteed win. That's much more efficient than sitting it out, but ruins the experience for everyone.
But a 55 min match further confirms that this is exactly how it should be done. A 1000 to 29 win gives me more glory than a 999 to 1000 loss. Go figure.

Sounds about right to me. (Hopefully) gone are the days of 1-shotting, and welcome the days of coordinated focus fire, misdirection, frequent adjustments, etc.
so you have a problem with 55 minute matches? Sounds like fun to me, Ill take a 55 minute match all day. 99.9% of the time People leave on the opposing end of my matcches sadly, and there is no match at all. not sure about how you say everyone is unkillable, I have no problems killing people, actually people die pretty much at the same rate as Pre-Mod. I agree with new pvp content. But I dont see any issues with current PVP that isnt obvious or hasnt already been stated in a 100 different threads since Beta.
