Shadowmantle 2nd Boon - LS vs Regen

Really struggling to conclude where to go with this one. Running an exec build with 300 regen and 1.3/4k life steal (LS) as it stands. My style of play for both pvp and pve would make me lean towards more LS. I can appreciate how great a stat regen is but for this particular build I don't think it's the optimum choice, my other TR (stealth build) would quite gladly take regen over LS.

So, unless anyone can give me a good reason, perhaps something I'm overlooking to choose regen, i'll opt with LS. I'm nowhere near the diminishing returns for LS, so can't factor that in. I thinkLS will take me over 10% return, which at max output is 10% on 10-11k power.

Just to clarify, 2nd boon is 250 Regeneration or 250 Life Steal.

    One thing to keep in mind, in general, regarding regeneration -- it is not available from enchantments and it is rare on top-end gear. We can always slot enchantments for more life-steal, but not for regeneration. That, at least, is my thinking so I have been taking regeneration for all of my characters regardless of class.

    ^^ Exactly, Regen for sure. Also, the more you can get via 'passive boons' or Artifact, the more flexibility you will have with rings/belt/neck slot items.

    Hmm, good point. I'm probably slightly swayed because I have something available not many have. The original seal of executioners, I have them on one TR and spares.

    Also, keep in mind that the ring of preservation has defensive slots as well as regen, so you can obtain an additional 2400 HP if you go R10 Radiant... So many options!

    Regen above all. We can get LS from gear and stones, but Regen is something we (or practically any class) can use. Only thing is that it's hard to get.

    I chose LS only because I had more regen than LS already (1250 LS vs 1500 Regen). Ideally, you want around 1600 of both (DR). In your case, no matter your build, I would have to conclude that the optimal choice is regen since yours is so low, and regen on a TR is always good. You will get more gain since your regen stat is so much lower.
