Hi there, I've been interested in the guardian fighter class for awhile but was afraid to try it (just like most of the classes) but since they now share paragon paths with the two handed fighter, I was wondering if Iron Vanguard can still be viable since mod 2 going live?
GF with iron path is still viable but it depends on what lvl u play
In high end premade u need a certain team comp to make it work. Or u would want to avoid certain team comp: like if they have 2 cw 2 ranger in that case god no, never bring a gf.
Why is it, that when anyone asks about the viability of a class - 99% of answers are extremely high-end pvp oriented? I mean high end pvp with premades is for like 2% of the population if not less.
Im not a high end char with full perfects and R8/9's , im just a regular GF on my way from T1 set to T2 set, with R6's enchants and i feel AT LEAST viable(13k gearscore conqueror spec). I run daily T2's and i just did my first succesfull MC yesterday and i feel i always carry my own weight (meaning i do hold threat on vast majority of the mobs, and im able to succesfully tank boss/ads or fulfill any other role i need on a bossfight).
Never had anyone complain about having me in party - be it Temple of the spider, Frozen Heart, or Malabog Castle or any other place.
So if you are not a high-end pvp'er you wont have any problems with playing your Guardian Fighter, and you will still be wanted in both pve and regular pvp.

None of my classes are premade. I work for my gear and what not, so my guardian fighter will not me be high end or premade. Besides Im gonna have a strictly pvp class only.

In that case I would say GF gets even better for u.

Well, the thing is if we don't have certain so call high-end. Any class with any build is viable.
Name one class one build that doesn't work in random pug PVP? None.
Name one class one build that doesn't work in a pug oriented PVE? None.
By asking viability u are pretty much asking the meta. And meta is set by the leaders, not the followers.
And I think the problem with this is PVE is easy. My toon with PVP spec can do any PVE content with 0 issue while giving out good performance. Only exception would be Draco, it does require u to gear up and spec a bit for it to make it work in legit way.
