Since they kindly closed the outage tread, did anyone else lose any items they got a couple minutes prior to the shutdown?I lost a pretty good drop and some blue items I sold were back in my inventory. Also,a GM response would be VERY appreciated.

It was an unplanned outage with more than likely a less than graceful shutdown so if anything hadn't been written out to the database it's more than likely gone forever since the previous checkpoint and I doubt there's anything that can be done on Cryptics part to get everyone where there were up to the second it went down. Chalk it up to an act of nature or the deity of your choice.

As rapticore said this was an unplanned server outage. More or less it was a server crash.

As such there was about five minutes lost between when the servers actually went down and when the databases were backed up.
There's really little that can be done. It wasn't an intended roll back, it was a side effect of the crash so truth be told the reason you lost items is because the system has no records of you getting it.

However this is a bit above and beyond my jurisdiction and level of expertise. Feel free to file a support ticket regarding the issue and they will do whatever they can about the problem but as I said the system has no record of those five minutes so I would not hold my breath personally.

I am sorry for your loss but this question truly is best posed to support. As such this discussion really doesn't belong on the forums and I do have to padlock it up. :(
I truly hope support can resolve the issue.
