its a shame its a bug, that is what makes ranger viable on pvp, without that they are <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, and gwf, way to unbalanced right now
Its not horribly op that it can't be broken, it just means I have had to use my sprint and unstoppable much more wisely. It is usually not the ranger that poses the threat but the GF you can't out maneuver or the TR that keeps pulling hit and stealths that you can't get to.

I call BS. 2 months of playtesting this patch and you guys didn't notice this? Either you have the most incompetent quality team of any MMO I've seen, (which I'm starting to believe), or it was originally designed to ignore control immunities and now you want to take it away because people are whining.

This. I would stop playing my ranger altogether if roots were nerfed and GWF's didn't get a huge nerf hammer. They are out of control right now.
All of these GWF's are complaining about grasping roots going through unstoppable right now, but they haven't bothered to mention the bugs that are helping them right now... like how Threatening Rush is breaking Control Wizard freezes and roots and slows. For instance, cast Icy Rays on a GWF, they can Threatening Rush right away towards you and break the Icy Ray root.
And how Roar is also going through control immunities... none of these GWF's are mentioning these bugs because they benefit them. But they whine about grasping roots slowing them down. Makes me sick to my stomach.
Fix all of this <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> if you're going to fix just one thing, Mr. "Combat Designer".

GWF are not the only ones complaining about this. It also goes through blocks and dodges. this applies for everyone.
right now, thats the only thing wrong with HR right now, is Grasping roots going through immunities.
Its nice it works on bosses. But for sake of pvp thats a no. Roar does the exact same thing as Impact shot, only difference is, its not spammable. very few people actually complain about roar, and it doesnt go through all control immunities, Unstoppable for one, it does nothing. And roar is hard to aim for mobile enemies.
Grasping roots is bugged. Its VERY apparent its bugged and not supposed to work that way. It goes through every single thing possible. Dodge, Block, CC immunities.
You hear GWF complain about it the most because they are rendered literally disabled by grasping roots. When in grasping roots, they're a target dummy basically.
Everyone has something they can at least do in that situation.
GF can still block and mark and lunge/front-line
TR can do quite a bit if they have certain skills off cooldown and have ranged attacks
CW dont really need to move.
DC can heal and shield
HR can M-escape.
This was too reported as a bug by quite a few people in preview, how it got passed I dont know. But quite a few things reported as bugged got through preview to live.
In this aspect. Thats the only thing need fixing. You can stop raging because you wanted to utilize a broken system. Nothing else in the game is bugged to such a degree as this.
Well,HR's are even squisher than CW's and now wont even be able to run from GWF's...
So:
TR's 1 shot you
CW's kill you in 2-3 seconds
GF's block all your shots
GWF's will close distance to you pretty quickly after roots get nerfed and kill you in 3-4 seconds.
DC wont die to you even tho its supposedly the weakest class in pvp(unless you can land an aimed shot on them,but thats unlikely).
As you can see,all above classes(except DC's) kill HR's really easy and i could even say that HR is countered by TR,CW,GF(to some extent) and will also be countered by GWF after the nerf(is now the only counter to them).There is NO other class in game that is countered by 4 out of 5 other classes and cant kill the only class that cant kill them under 5 seconds.
Also,Mastery of archery and fox's cunning nerfed now so we have an useless last feat(free crit every 20 seconds with an encounter(that does no damage cause we have no damage encounters other than hawk shot that deals 2x less dmg than aimed at max distance and like 100 in melee...)so op!)and we have no CC immunity anymore(not counting a 75% daily that also immobilizes you and causes your enemies to just deal 50% less dmg to you-you're still dead in 3 seconds if focused.
Odd, my HR is hardly squishy and I usually come out on top in any given situation against any of the classes you mentioned. I fail to see any problem at all with them fixing an obvious bug which is overpowering. My suggestion would be change you tactics and put the **** bow down every once in awhile. Otherwise there are 5 other classes to play.
i agree that its a bug but i disagree on the gwf being op as i say in other posts too... you just are not allowed to let a gwf get close to you thats normal as it is in all other mmos with the same class(warrior-titan). he is now as he was supposed to be and not useless as he was
hr is pretty good too if you dress him full and you ll see that soon, i saw one today who leaded the pvp easilly
cleric is better than before with heals - buffs and trs still do the job if hidden most of the time
tanks yes are a bit left behind but i guess we will see in next patches what hapens
