So OK, 5 caskets spawn, 5 people, cool... you miss them, you kill 1 wight maybe, decently challenging.
Then 8 or so caskets spawn and you get overrun with mobs, that paint the area red? Again this idiocy? Did I mention they hit hard too? And Val chokes you to be a standing duck for their AoEs?
Where's your missing imagination, devs?
Oh, and you get a blue drop after all this effort.
They could have come up with another mechanic for the caskets, like ones that go left alone cause a line of damage across the arena just like Valindra does during the transition phases or something like that but anything but adds. It's fine if you miss a couple but by the end so many appear that even more adds will spawn, it's just a bit tedious.
The fight not too hard, and i really liked it. I dont know what you are talking about. but still
As for the loot, the t2 chest dropped a few times, but the DD chest was bugged, so we couldent open that, none of us actually. So that needs fixing. Because i aint running that instance with out DD chest.
I hope, after we reported it, they will fix the bug that people are abusing at the moment for kill her. Like allways, they found bug in preview and they don't report it.
I think the fight is interesting... It is not just adds adds adds... it's organization on your party's part to be able to coordinate who gets each casket. The phasing is interesting because it does involve some strategy in how you move (ie don't clump together, get cornered) and strategy. in other boss fights I feel like there's no strategy involved to finish the boss just add control; In this one, we changed strategies multiple times based on our previous mistakes/failures ultimately feeling extremely satisfied when we finished it. Compared to other boss fights, this one felt much more mechanically interesting.
Well, is all about abusing the map again. LFG channel is spamed by: "CW lfg VT i know the bug" message. Dungeon is great, last boss is by far the best encounter, tho u should put some timers on those hands to not happen in the same time as caskets, but for the love of God please fix those exploits... u had that thing tested for a long time... how did that slip?!

Actually, Valindra uses the same abilities as she uses at the last Malabog's Castle boss fight. Chokes you, summons portals with adds, performs red lines with cleave attacks, uses aoe strike once in a couple of seconds. The only new thing is those ghosts.

- add lame weak boss - check
- add red zones of death - check
- add dangerous adds to the encounter - check
- make as many adds as possible spawn - check - Val will start summoning 8 caskets lol
- add unfinished, dumb mechanics - check (Val AoEs people caught in hand choke; Val chokes people opening casket; wights AoE people opening casket or caught in hand)

It wouldn't surprise me if the DD chest is broken intentionally so that the developers could see if any exploits are found that they can repair in the first patch after release , at the same time as fixing the DD chest , wouldn't want anybody farming AD afterall .

If all you can do is complain about the game, you should leave it. I have found that out about games, if I get to the point where I just complain and spend all my time on the forums, then its time for me to move on.
1st shot the boss both times I did it this weekend. Fight is very simple and straight forward. If you are having issues with the fight it's because you have players that don't understand basic team work.
What bothers me more than a **** bug is what i've already started reading in LFG chat:

I mean, are you serious?
First: if i got full equipment and 15k GS, i wouldn't need to run VT except for, may be, rotfling when i out-dps people by 5 milions
Second: i've run it with 11.5-12k GS ppl and it was fine
Third: GS does not take into account weapon and armor enchants. Do you think it's more effective a 15k GS guy with no enchants, or a 12k GS guy with vorpal and soulforged?
I wish devs could come out with a way to fight brainless elitism in PvE.

It is.. and if u have seldarine is a walk in the park, but for some is so easy that they are doing fast runs ... look in ah where everything is at half price already after 3 days
All the blue drops from places like mc/vt make me Not want to get those formorian/dragon weps. Its such a hassle to run dngs all day and end up losing money due to pots

No pro gear, enchants etc., you can be the most skilled casket-clicker ever, you won't kill Val at 10500 GS.
The issue however is not difficulty, but lack of imagination and overall lame&lazy design, with more of the "red zones, crazy adds, weak boss" pseudobosses.
