Powers cannot be upgraded after swordmaster paragon path

I'd appreciate any advice or help.
I was saving and waitng for the new paragon path swordmaster before choosing a path. in total i have 16 power points to allocated for powers. when i try to put them in it asks me if i m sure, i click yes, but at the bottom the points doont get spent, and when i cant upgrade any more (the points at the bottom still says i have 16 points to spend) there is no commit changes button. if i switch or close windows, do a print screen, it resets as if nothing happened. the powers never lock in. i have tried this many times now.
I have sent in a report they replied it should be fixed with the new update on the 6th. but it still has not. i am getting very pissed being forced to play as a lvl 20 char when i am already at lvl 45.
