I looked for a guide hoping to find some pointers but couldn't find a sticky anywhere, so I decided to pose the question here.
I just hit 60 earlier today and I'm at a loss for what to do next, I saw the dungeons available but my gearscore is too low for them and I'm not exactly sure where to start gearing up to reach the gear score required to queue for them. So where should I go? Is there some zone I should quest in with level 60 greens available so I can get the gearscore required for dungeons? Also, what are the additional methods for getting AD at level 60? Let me also add I have no interest whatsoever in doing pvp, at all, I'm strictly a PVE player.
Obviously I don't expect to gear up in a day, I just need some direction. I don't know which zones to go to, where the entrance to those zones might be, or the acronyms for them. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Talk to sgt knox he will give you quests to go to sharandar (module 1) and now dread ring (module 2) both of which have easily obtained t1 purples. The zones also drop tons of blues which will easily grant you the gs to do t1/t2 dungeons
First of all-buy blue gear from AH(of youth +5 is the best for most classes)...it only costs you 5k AD for a full set you'll get 8k+GS from, then go do sharandar dailies after which play PVP/T1 dungeons, salvage gear from here(you can buy pvp gear then salvage it,4200 Glory armor=5k AD if i remember right),save up for best gear and pick it off ah
The best thing you can do as far as gear is to go to the AH and buy lvl 60 blue items for every slot except shirt and pants. Most of them start around 80 AD and have stats just slightly below Unicorn Seal items. Pick stuff that gives you the stats that you need for your class/playstyle and you will be off to a good start. It's also good to consider items 'of Youth' for regen. If you can stack it up to at least 600, perferably 800+, you will find soloing the level 60 areas much easier, especially if you have a combat pet. If you have enchantments, use them to get your preferred stats higher. Rank 4s will do for now, but you can use gold to unslot them now so use the best you have. If you don't have any, just wait and get them from mobs on the maps.
Next, talk to Sgt. Knox and start the quests for Feywild and/or Shadowmantle. Both have large new zones that you can solo with the blue gear from the AH. Start running the quests and get the boons. I wouldn't bother trying to get the purple gear available from the vendor. If you have that many AD, it's cheaper to go with a full set of T1 gear from the AH. Every mob in Sharandar (Feywild area) has a chance of dropping rank 4 enchants, so that will help if you need them. I imagine that Dread Ring (Shadowmantle) is the same. With all blue lvl 60 gear and rank 4-5 enchants, you'll have a GS of around 8.5k. With the targeted stats, you shouldn't have much problem with the solo stuff. I think that the mini dungeons in Shadowmantle are easier than Feywild, but they're soloable. If you have trouble and don't mind teaming up for shortly, use chat to find a partner for the dungeons. There are almost always people looking for someone to run them with.
As far as AD, there are a number of options. You can farm for stuff to sell on the AH. Enchants are usually a good seller. The new system makes any enchant more desirable, so they may get better. You can also farm gold and use it to buy stuff for the AH. There are also the daily quests offered by Rhix and Lord Neverember. Rhix offers the same quests every day, Neverember does different ones. For soloing, the foundry quests are the easiest, if you don't mind a bit of a grind. It's best to do it when you can get both. Rhix offers 4000 rough AD for his, Neverember offers 8000. For four foundries, you can get 12k AD in an hour or so. Also, get rank 20 leadership if you don't already. That's a good source of steady income.

Having done a run through the Dread Spire a couple of time already and it is more managble solo. The add rate isn't horrendous and the final boss of the Dread Spire is challenging but fun. Best of all, no limbs get withered!
As for GS, Sharandar drops pretty decent blues. I haven't done Dread Ring long enough to form an opinion about it, but i've had some blues drop, as well as decent greens.
Once you reach the minimum GS for these dungeons, form your own group, run with a guild, or use the Legit channel in chat. There are groups that form for similiar GS runs, and a good many experienced players who WILL take newer people through Dungeons can be found.
