Maybe I missed something but what HAMSTER are you talking about.

As for Artifacts, getting 2 artifacts on each L 60 char is pretty easy. One from a quest, and one from PVP. Ok...some people despise PVP...but at least you know you are constantly working towards the purchase price, not praying for a 1% drop that you win the roll on. Anyway, for me the problem is that going from green to blue requires 4 Marks...2 of which are apparently harder to get than Epic Marks. I can't even imagine the cost to to purple and orange. I don't want things to be given to me, but this seems like a pretty high barrier.

"I already know 4 persons that have 3 legendary artifacts on a few chars, or 5 epic companions. This comes on top of their full Rank 10 and Perfects chars, of course."

Fact: These people are either; A. Cheaters or B. p2w

By cheaters I of course mean exploiting or using bugs/glitches to make it easier in any way.

By p2w I of course mean that they pay real money to advance quicker in the game.

I almost have one artifact at lvl 60 and my other (only have 2) at lvl 29! ~This is what you have if you play a "normal" amount of NW since module 2 came out. IMO, ofc.

It's free to play, we have to understand that. But this game takes it too far, and it will lead to its own death because of it.

Funny how I, a regular little boy can understand this simple thing, but Cryptic & CO who made this game, can not? Hmmh

Wheres C and D options: (C) AH2W, (D) had X item stock piled which made their artifacts leveling ~25times more faster with ~28times lower cost than the current market price.

BTW don't turn this into a P2W discussion, it will get the topic closed.

But.......but putting marks needed for leveling artifacts only to lockboxes, so only persons who pay real money can get them immediately to get high advantage above free players is.....is........must...not...say.......

The topic is PURELY about how the new players are at a huge unfair disadvantage and there's nothing to help them.

I'm...I guess I'm really just not seeing this huge disadvantage. PvE is straightforward enough to get you up to 60 and in a mix of blues and purps inside of a week if you're keen, a month if you're old and have too much other stuff to do, and from there, as far as I've seen, the major barrier is skill, not gear. UBER EPIC ZOMG T2.5 stuff just lets you play lazier. Given the option, I'll take a 8.5k GWF who can play over a 13k CW who just bought everything on the auction house and has never set foot in an epic dungeon.

The only place where gearing is relevant is in PvP, and quite frankly, the gear inequality is not something new. "Kerbstomping, doom-geared uber peeps" were uber peeps waaay before module 2 came out. Complaining about the new stuff 'widening the gap' in PvP is akin to saying "hay you made this unclimbable hundred-metre cliff a whole three inches higher! HOW DARE YOU". New players are only at an insignificantly greater disadvantage than they were before.

And of course, and I base this mostly on my general (albeit limited) PvP experience, and the general nature of gearcurves in MMOs, "Kerbstomping, doom-geared uber peeps" are a very small percentage of the population. The number of times I've encountered, and been resoundingly facepunched by, any of the more widely known, epic-geared people? A tiny fraction of the games I've had. Compare that to say...the number of times I've encountered hilariously stupid robot TRs, and it's really a minor issue.

It's more of a mindset thing than anything else. Think of PvP as Mike Tyson's punch-out (oh god, my age is showing), but with randomised levels. Sometimes Little Mac gets to fight Glass Joe: this is a fun matchup, and you'll have a decent fight, maybe win, probably learn something.

Sometimes Little Mac gets dropped straight in the ring with big Mike, and there's nothing you can do but sit back and pick your teeth up. But still possibly learn something (like "that's what stacked tenes feels like").

It has always been this way (at least at 60) and this is pretty common to MMOs with a PvP element.

No. In pvp this gap is huge. Its like I get 9 rank 10s and you have 5 rank 5s or 6s based on the cost scaling. Also with legendary artifacts I can heal from 0 to full and not be back down before the cd is off again.

its the same as it was before.

    level to 60...
    buy cheap/placeholder gear
    get pvp stuff.
    collect your T2.
buy your other pieces as you go.
    get your stone
learn how to run CN and farm it (or T2 GG).
    upgrade your enchants/artifact whatevers.

I don't see how things are different now then before. theres just a bit of a learning curve on what to do and get.]

As for pvp, if it really bothers you. perhaps you should find another game because PvP here is a playground for those with cash/gear, and it will probably stay that way (tempt those types to feed money to feel stronger/superior). Its probably a good source of income for PWE, so i doubt it will change.

<---- Did this yesterday: Was around 10% HP - I Regen ~2300 per tick, Popped Water + HP Pot = 50% HP (20k) in about 6 seconds.

I don't even have my full Artifacts yet + healing buffs. So OP right now in PvP.

I've been prefering skull over water though. The heal is kind of small on water, and skul absorbs a ton of dmg
